77 Squadron Air Cadets - Redruth Welcome to the public page for 77 (Redruth) Squadron Air Cadets. 77 (Redruth) Air Cadets are an ATC Squadron based at RRH Portreath.

We are recruiting new cadets aged 12 (school year 8) to 17 years. The Squadron meets on a Tuesday & Thursday between 1900-2130hrs. For more information email [email protected] or ring 01209 843883 on Tuesdays or Thursday evenings.

They have completed the whole of the basic radio operator course which involved - theory, cyber security and a practical exam done over the radio.

77 SQUADRON OPEN DAY 2026

🌞 Last week’s 77 Squadron Open Day was a fantastic success! The sun was shining as we enjoyed some fun group rounders and celebrated Sgt Tatum-Curtis for winning the leadership task! 🎉 Our dedicated cadets showcased their amazing stalls, featuring fieldcraft, adventure training, radio, music, first aid, and STEM. 🚀 We’ve also welcomed 4 new recruits already! CADET OF THE MONTH - MAY 🥇🏆

Introducing Cdt McKnight as our cadet of the month for May!

He has perfectly demonstrated the RISE principles this month, Respect, Integrity, Service & Excellence.

He’s also thrown himself out of his comfort zone, attending off squadron events, some even where he doesn’t know anyone and he’s had a fab time.

Cdt McKnight has fully thrown himself into the organisation over the last 6 months since he joined, and we see a lot of potential in him to go far.
