A huge thank you to Judy Davidson MBE, who founded Redruth Revival CIC more than 15 years ago and is now stepping down as Chair, while continuing on as a Director.

Judy brought together Redruth Revival and led projects that have supported Redruth’s regeneration, creativity and community spirit ever since, including bringing the Buttermarket project to life.

Incoming Chair Ross Williams MBE shared:

“Judy brought us together as a small group of activists to set up Redruth Revival more than 15 years ago and ever since then she has been our chair and a driving force in our development and success. She’s now stepping down from that role, and as the Incoming Chair, I want to say how much we’ve all admired her integrity and her commitment to Redruth - we’re delighted that she’s staying on as a director.”

Thank you, Judy, for your leadership, dedication and belief in Redruth ❤️

A huge night for us, our The Buttermarket Redruth project and Architectural Thread at the RIBA South West & Wessex Awards!

We’re so proud that the Buttermarket project received a RIBA South West & Wessex Award, recognising the transformation of this historic site into a vibrant community food hall and cultural space in the heart of Redruth.

Massive congratulations to Claire Fear, who also took home Project Architect of the Year for her and the brilliant team's thoughtful, creative work on the project. It’s been an amazing collaboration from day one, and this recognition is so deserved.

We were also incredibly honoured that Redruth Revival CIC was recognised as Client of the Year.

A real celebration of heritage, community, creativity and collaboration - and a proud moment for Redruth.

We were delighted to welcome HRH The Duke of Edinburgh to the Buttermarket yesterday, where he met the Redruth Revival CIC Directors behind the project, alongside our funders, local businesses, community representatives and partners.

The visit celebrated the transformation of this historic site into Cornwall’s first food hall and a growing cultural hub - now home to six independent street food kitchens, alongside creative and community spaces.

A proud moment to showcase the not-for-profit work of Redruth Revival CIC, the independent businesses based here, and the community organisations at the heart of the Buttermarket, as well as the wider ambition for Redruth’s future, including the Town of Culture 2028 bid.

Thank you to everyone who has supported the project, attended the visit and made the day feel so special!

Ready for spring, our brilliant Redruth Revival CIC volunteers generously gave the Buttermarket courtyard a well-deserved refresh with freshly sanded table tops, plenty of de-weeding, and a good courtyard scrub!

All of our projects are made possible thanks to the time, care and hard work of our volunteers. They’re a huge part of what makes Redruth Revival what it is - and we’re incredibly grateful.
