Arts and laughs

Another session full of joy.
The members designed their own pencil cases.
Everyone got dancing today because you guessed it there was a dance session. It focused on using dance props. Beautiful movement was created using material fans.
All of our members tried the gold wings. It was a fantastic supportive moment as each member stepped up to take their turn.
That’s not all there was scarf painting, ribbon connect and a team work activity involving a massive rainbow material tube that fitted 3 people in it at a time.
A fun day was had by all with plenty of laughs.

We had an artistic adventure today. We created some craft using resin for the first time today.
Then came the signing session full of fun vocal warm up techniques and funny songs. The group learnt Consider Yourself from Oliver.

Deal Or No Deal Day.
Both players beat the banker YAY! One won a grand wait for it ……..25p. One £10,000 pounds, unfortunately for both players it’s imaginary money. They came with nothing and went home with nothing.
Two new members joined us today. They fitted in immediately.
There was a spot of art and we squeezed in the counting game, it’s harder than you think. We’ll beat our score next time.

What a superb first day back, so heart warming to see everyone greeting each other with such Joy. We’ve missed each other.
A lot happened today:
The lovely welcome back banner was made by one of our volunteers.
We had so much to catch up on with each other in our sharing section.
We had a birthday.
We said good bye to one of our regular carers who is off to university to study to become a nurse.
We made some book marks.
And there was music discussion. Lots of thoughts, opinions and dancing. We listen to so many styles of music from different decades and then decided do we like the song and share how we feel about it.
So excited to be back, lots to look forward to this term.

Arts & Laughs has been out and about this week. Thanks to Pro-Active Community who invited us to run a paint in the park session at Florrie's in Redhill.
It was so lovely to meet everyone that came. It was great to chat, be creative and eat cake.
We hope to see you all again soon.
