Renewed Hope We're a local charity helping the homeless & vulnerable running a day centre & winter night shelter

We run a year-round Drop-In day support centre where we serve a hot nutritious lunch and provide company for homeless, isolated and vulnerable people. We partner with other agencies to get them the help they need. We also have a house where we help 4 previously homeless men transition to more permanent accommodation. We run the Winter Night Shelter from December to March which provides somewhere warm, dry and safe for ten of our guests to sleep, who would otherwise have been sleeping rough.

Have you got Wimbledon fever yet? Win a year of tennis — and Change a Life in East Surrey 🎾

We are delighted to share that Reigate Lawn Tennis Club has generously donated a one-year family tennis membership (worth around £700) in support of Renewed Hope. To stand a chance of winning this fantastic prize, you can enter our prize raffle which will run until the end of September. This membership gives a family (up to 2 adults and 2 children from the same household) unlimited access to the club for a full tennis year, and can be used in either for one year starting in October 2026 or in the 2027/28 tennis year starting in March. The prize can also be used for a single membership so if you’ve been thinking about trying out tennis, or you haven’t played in a while then this may be a great opportunity to be part of a fantastic club.

Reigate Lawn Tennis Club was awarded Surrey Tennis Club of the Year for 2026, and for good reason. RLTC is a well-loved part of the local community, offering fantastic facilities and a warm, welcoming environment for players of all ages and abilities.

We’re genuinely grateful to for their generosity in donating this prize. It’s a brilliant example of local organisations coming together to support people in need.

Entering the raffle is simple. Every £10 donation gives you one entry into the draw. The more you donate, the more chances you have to win — £50 gives you five entries, £100 gives you ten.

The raffle runs from 1 June to 30 September 2026.

The winner will be drawn at random and contacted directly after the closing date. To be eligible, you must provide a full name and email when purchasing your tickets. We will contact you by email to let you know the results of the draw.

Please note, Gift Aid does not apply to raffle entries.

This week we hosted a pub quiz at The Royal Oak in Brockham & Meerkat Retreat and despite the hot weather we had a fantastic turn out. Thank you to the team at The Royal Oak, everyone had great fun and we raised nearly £600 to help fund the valuable services we provide to our guests at our drop-in centre and Hope House.

We were delighted to meet the children and staff of Reigate St Marys Prep School this week.

We talked about the work of Renewed Hope in support of the homeless and vulnerable members of our community and discussed what we can do together to help raise awareness and funding.

We look forward to developing a long term partnership with the school to the benefit of all.

A big thank you to the volunteers from AXA UK who recently spent four days volunteering with Renewed Hope, including serving food and hot drinks to guests at our drop-in centre and helping to transform our garden at Hope House.

Not only did the volunteers impress with their hard work, willingness to get stuck in and flexibility, but their warm, friendly and genuine approach to our guests was truly heartening.

Over the four days, the volunteers helped a total of 42 people, 16 of whom were homeless. They helped to serve 84 hot meals, and countless hot drinks!

This week is and a timely reminder of the incredible impact of volunteers in helping us to provide invaluable services to homeless and vulnerable people in East Surrey.
