HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZETLAND.

If you want to pop down and see this historic lifeboat the museum is open at the following times.

Weekends only 10&11 & 17&18.
Then 7 days a week from 24th Oçt - 1 Nov.
Mon - Fri 11-4
Sat & Sun 11-5
Free entry and dog friendly

RNLI Redcar volunteers like to go that extra mile during Sunday morning training. These two decided to go the extra 13 miles just for fun.

So on top of all the extra work they do to make sure they are fit and ready for they decided to join in the Redcar Half Marathon.

This time of year gives RNLI Redcar 's volunteer crew a chance to practice their skills during that period when light transitions through to darkness.

Getting use to working in these conditions helps to test their navigation and boat handling skills.

It's also a test for the tractor drivers who must launch and retrieve the lifeboats in what can be very challenging conditions.

A BIG THANK YOU to SaltburnSmugglers who have been great supporters of RNLI Redcar for a number of years.

Their 'Shanties on the Shore' series of concerts held during the summer raised a fantastic £2500 to help with

Of course we must also thank the thousands of people who turned out to watch Saltburn Smugglers over those 3 nights. Their contributions, support and cheers for the were very much appreciated. The money you helped to raise could fuel our lifeboats for approximately 35 lifesaving shouts.
