🌍✨ Celebrating World Environment Day ✨🌿

Today, we’re proud to shine a light on the incredible work happening through The Junction Foundation’s All Our Futures and Blue Influencers projects 💙🌱

These initiatives are all about empowering young people to take meaningful social action through hands-on learning experiences. From protecting local green spaces to championing conservation efforts and tackling climate change, young people are leading the way toward a more sustainable future.

By connecting learning with real-world impact, participants are not only building skills—they’re becoming environmental leaders in their communities 🌎💪

Together, we’re nurturing a generation that cares deeply about our planet and is ready to make a difference.

Both projects offer free programmes of work for schools and youth clubs in the local area.

If you would like to find out more please call the Junction on 01642 756000 and ask to speak to one of the team.

Family Focus Parent Group – May Highlights 🌼

This month, our Junction Children’s Well-being Practitioner Georgia, delivered a fantastic two-week parenting programme for our Family Focus Parent Group 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

Parents took part in workshops focused on:

✨ Positive Parenting – exploring practical tips and strategies to help manage behaviour in a calm and supportive way.
✨ Emotional Regulation – learning how to better support children in understanding and managing their emotions.

It was a great opportunity for parents to share experiences, build confidence, and take away helpful strategies to use at home 💬💛

Well done to everyone who got involved – your commitment to supporting your children makes such a difference!

A new South Tees Carers Strategy is being developed to help unpaid carers get the right support.

The new priorities include: • better information • support for health and wellbeing • help with money, work and school • more time for breaks and rest

People are being asked to look at the priorities and share their views.

Feedback will help improve support for unpaid carers across South Tees Find out more and take the short survey here https://wecareyoucare.info/articles/is-the-new-all-age-carers-strategy-right-tell-us-what-you-think

💛 This , let’s stand with carers across South Tees 💛

Right now, around 30,000 unpaid carers are supporting loved ones in our communities, and many of us will step into that role at some point in our lives.
At The Junction, we see every day the strength, compassion and resilience that caring takes. This Carers Week (8–14 June), we’re asking you to take a small step that can make a real difference.

👉 By taking the South Tees Carers Pledge, you can help raise awareness, build understanding and create more carer-friendly communities for everyone.
It only takes a few minutes—but it shows carers they’re seen, valued and not alone.

⚽️☀️ What a fantastic holiday activity day!

Our young people enjoyed an action-packed session filled with football, interactive storytelling, creative crafts, and even made their own healthy lunch together. 🥪🎨📚⚽️

Days like this are so important as they give children and young people the opportunity to build confidence, develop social skills, try new experiences, and most importantly have fun in a safe and supportive environment. Activities like these also encourage teamwork, independence, creativity, and healthy lifestyles while creating lasting friendships and happy memories. 💙

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the day so special!
