The Daisy Cave Foundation aims to get children and families enjoying the otherwise difficult to navigate and hard to plan experiences. We have two specialist all terrain wheelchairs which are able to be used on beaches, in water, on snow/ice and on rough ground. These are available for free hire to children and young people. These chairs allow for families to experience these otherwise unreachable places together, removing the hassles inadequate equipment bring to so many situations. We are well aware of the extra cost trips, holidays and school activities can incur. We don’t want this to be a reason young people miss out on these experiences. We can offer grants to those who need some support to make their school trip or family holiday possible. We also offer small grants towards personal specialist equipment, accessible technology, home adaptions, lightweight mobility aids not covered by the NHS and much more to support independence and freedom. Please get in touch to discuss a grant even if we haven’t listed your need above. We will review any request that will support a child or young adult to do what any other child can.
