Borderline Morris had to improvise last night when they couldn't get their sticks out 😕 I think it makes for a very interesting variation myself :-) Contact Dave Bolam if you think you might be interested in joining them 😉

The quiz night was very successful and raised £414 for the village hall, and a donation of £100 to Reading Lions prostate cancer awareness charity. Thank you to everyone who attended and a very special thank you to our social secretary Lorna for organising it. We also wish to express heartfelt thanks to local businesses Lockey Farm Shop, Henry Street garden centre, Sula Pizzeria and The Bull Public House for their kind donation of raffle prizes. Also, special thanks to Stephen and Jan Richardson for asking the questions, marking the results and generally keeping us all in order. THANKS!

This week is Village Halls Week https://acre.org.uk/village-halls-week-2026-connecting-communities-to-health-and-wellbeing/ with a theme this year of "Connecting communities to health and wellbeing". How appropriate then that I was very pleased to welcome Panacea Health Solutions to Arborfield Village Hall on Monday. Pictured below with me is Denise, a registered nurse, who will be offering a range of non clinical health and welfare services to the community :-) Denise plans to run her new business from the old GP consulting room at the hall from May 1st. More details to follow soon ;-)
