Twyford District Youth and Community Centre is a charity based in Twyford, Berkshire, that has taken over the running of Twyford Youth Centre - an important facility for the community. This page is for its supporters - young and old -to provide information and share developments within the organisation. We will use the page to publicise the charity's activities as well as our fantastic fundraising

events. We also have a Facebook group for young people who want to find out more about what is going on at our youth clubs.

A fantastic Monday evening session yesterday!👏🏻

We welcomed our new Year 6s, with 52 young people from Years 6 and 7 joining us for our first session together. The evening was packed with rounders, football matches, World Cup highlights, and even a game of Twister!

Following this, it was our older youth group session and with the social media ban still fresh in the news, it sparked some thoughtful conversations. It was the perfect opportunity to hold a debate. The young people split into groups to discuss arguments both for and against the issue before presenting their ideas to one another. 🧑🏼‍🏫👨🏻‍💻

The discussion will continue next week as they carry out more research, develop their viewpoints and present statistics. We feel this is such an important topic to explore, as it encourages meaningful conversations about staying safe online and being responsible.👊🏻

Looking forward to our Wednesday session tomorrow evening 7pm-8.30pm for our Year 7 - Year 13 group! 💪🏻

🌟 What a fantastic last few weeks at the Youth Centre!

We have been full on busy with cooking activities, identity collages, football, rounders, volleyball, RC cars, Puppet craft plus much more!

We have also had an amazing time welcoming the fantastic Explorers from Scouts on Wednesdays, who have been running a range of exciting scout activities with our young people. These sessions have been a huge hit, and it's been great to see everyone getting involved, learning new skills, and having fun together! 🔥

We are looking forward to welcoming our new Year 6 cohort on Monday! 🎉

If you haven't done so already, please make sure you complete our online registration form before your first visit. This will help us get everything ready for your arrival and ensure a smooth sign-in process.
We can't wait to see you all! 😊

HELP! We are on the hunt for some ball pit balls for a project in one of our rooms! We have some but not enough 🙄 If anyone has any ball pit balls (any colour) they would be happy to donate to the youth club it would be greatly appreciated! We are happy to collect them ☺️

Our Wednesday Workshops start tomorrow!! ✨
