Our work enables people, especially those with disabilities to unlock their abilities. Decibels is a charitable company which aims to promote the education and training of people with a variety of special needs/disabilities for the purpose of enabling them to learn, appreciate and enjoy sound, music, the arts and performance through the use of technology. It seeks to advance this work by providing

facilities,equipment and research with the view to include those with disabilities into the community and the musical and artistic worlds. Decibels aspires to establish a spirit of innovation by incorporating technological development into various aspects of research,training and music practice.

Thanking Eloise Ruth Garland and Melissa Mostyn for delivering workshops based on the Audiovisability Dressage Project at the PACE Centre in Aylesbury. Students shown the inspiring Dressage film featuring Laurentia Tan and Dame Evelyn Glennie and then the SUBPAC was demonstrated. All the students then got creative with music and art! Thanks to Decibels and the Sobell Foundation for the funding to do this.

A student from UCL is conducting research into how people with sensory conditions experience therapeutic spaces for cancer patients.

She is seeking deaf and hard of hearing people to complete her online survey. The survey involves looking at some photos and sharing your thoughts on them. It is anonymous.

Rap music isn't enjoyed by everyone but should still be available to all. Nick spends time with the Interpreters who work with rap artists to make their music accessible to deaf people.
