Get more out of life with Reading District Oddfellows

We’re a local Branch of one of the UK’s largest friendly societies, the Oddfellows, which has over 200 years of experience of creating opportunities for people to meet up and make friends, as well as supporting its members in times of need. We’re a not-for-profit, mutual society, run by our members for our members. Reading District is based in

the Oddfellows Hall at 118b Oxford Road, Reading RG1 7NQ but our membership stretches from Oxfordshire through Berkshire. With local Branches based in Henley on Thames, Reading, Maidenhead, Thatcham, Tilehurst, Pangbourne and Woodley, we cover a wide region with a bit of something for everyone. We host regular inexpensive social events as well as one-off special activities. Why not ‘like’ our page and we’ll keep you posted on what’s coming up and how you can get involved. If you’re interested in finding out more about becoming a member and the benefits it brings, such as access to care and advice and a range of financial benefits, call 0118 9573354 or email us on [email protected] for further details. We hold many regular events across our Branches. Everyone is welcome to attend, you don’t have to be a member! We have weekly singing and exercise sessions along with afternoon and evening socials at the Oddfellows Hall, 118b Oxford Road, Reading RG1 7NQ and other social meetings in and around the area. At the Oddfellows, you're never too far from a friendly face, but we know that many people throughout the UK do experience loneliness. That's why the Marmalade Trust's annual campaign is so important.

If you fancy some company, you can find online and in-person events at www.oddfellows.co.uk/events. You'll be made very welcome. 😃

Head to www.lonelinessawarenessweek.org for lots of brilliant advice.
