Grassroots Foundation Grassroots; a non-profit platform for activism projects, set up in 2012 by a group of friends and local activists to launch and grow grassroots campaigns.

Grassroots are currently running two campaigns:

Grow Food, Not Lawns
With world food prices predicted to rise even higher in 2013 during an increasingly hostile economic enviroment for most, the GF,NL campaign is aiming to get more individuals, schools and communitys to rip up their lawns and grow some veg, berries, fruits and herbs to reduce their dependence on large superstores and decrease the

ir monthly shopping budget. Feed People, Not Bins
While tonnes of perfectly edible food is thrown away each year by superstores, shops and kitchens millions of working poor and homless people are going hungry. The FP,NB campaign not only sources perfectly edible food that would otherwise end up in the bin and donates it to local food banks, we are encouraging others to do the same in thier local area. Please sign and share this petition everywhere and kindly ask others to do the same. This one is crucially important for all of us and needs everyone's support.

There are over 1.8 million of the required 100,000 signatures already but with your help making this go viral we can get a much bigger number that cannot be ignored.

Signing and sharing this will go a long way towards saving lives and protecting our future.

We demand that the UK Government immediately commits to not introducing a digital ID cards. There are reports that this is being looked at.
