What an amazing five days it’s been here at . 🎶❤️

Such an honour and privilege to be part of it, meeting so many wonderful people and being there to listen and help when needed, so many stories.

A huge thank you to all our amazing volunteers, who have made these five days so special, you have all worked so hard to care for other

Day Four started damp and got wetter, people kept coming to the tents all day
More supplies needed to be brought on site, thank you to the Street Pastors patrolling today for collecting the supplies & delivering them to the tents. Thank you to Kingdom Coffee Ltd for opening up for us this afternoon. Big thank you to Christian Community Action - CCA Reading and The Atrium for allowing us park at their venues making it possible for the volunteers to get on site.
Over 15,000 people have visited the two tents over the last few days, playing poker with lollypops, fixing shoes with gaffer tape, reading the New Testament Bible. Trying sunglasses on at White gate, everyone having fun. 😊

🙏 Our prayers are with Big Church Festival 2026

Following the tragic accident at Big Church Festival yesterday, our thoughts and prayers are with all those people who have been affected,their families and friends, and everyone who witnessed or has been affected by what happened.

We are also thinking of the volunteers and friends from Reading churches who have been at the festival this weekend, and praying for their safety and wellbeing.

🙏 Lord, bring comfort to those who are grieving, healing to those who are injured, strength to those who are shaken, and peace to everyone affected.

Yesterday was a mixture of sunshine 🌞 rain ☔️ & 💨 but that didn’t put the festival goers coming into the tents. It was a busy day with lots of conversations, looking after vulnerable people & the volunteers having a good time playing games with the young people Many people coming back to the tents each year & saying how safe they feel at the tents.😊 The volunteers at the gates were kept busy as well working with the amazing security teams & the Street Pastors were out patrolling the campsites. Over a 100 volunteers have given up their time this weekend to 🙏

The first customer yesterday was a little Robin!The festival site is filling up. The Appropriate Adult volunteers on all the gates were very busy yesterday & today & the tents have been busy with lots of conversations with the festival goers. The Street Pastors have been patrolling the campsites today as well as the Rail Pastors at the train station signposting festival goers to the buses.

The loading up is done ✅, the tents are all ready, we have power & water ✅ We are ready to welcome the early bird festival goers today.Look out for our tents in Brown & Orange fields. We are open from today right through to Monday morning. Come & chill n chat with us, we are serving drinks & snacks. 😊
We are also at Green, Red & White gates everyday as “Appropriate Adults” say hi 👋 when you see us.

Two completely different nights for the volunteers this weekend. Friday was a quiet one, with many conversations & a few opportunities to pray for people. Highlight of the night was to be invited to join two young ladies in a Tik Tok video, the volunteers were in the background! Last night was a different story, no time for dancing in the streets! The night started of with an early call out & it was busy from then till the early hours. A real God incidence just as the volunteers had signed off where they were able to help a female into a taxi to get them safely home. 🙏
