Come and join Nature Nurture and friends next Wednesday, 7th October for Your Nook, Your Say.

We’d love to hear your ideas about the Nook and how we can make it an even more welcoming space for everyone. Over the next two years there’ll be more conservation and gardening sessions, murals, community events and plenty more, and we want local people to help shape what happens. 💚

Come along, meet neighbours, have a chat and share your thoughts over free hot drinks and cake. ☕️🍰

🍂 FREE Coley & Katesgrove History Walk 🍂

Join local historian Terry Dixon of Terry's Reading Walkabouts and the Nature Nurture team for a gentle guided walk discovering some of the fascinating history, nature and murals of Coley and Katesgrove.

We’ll follow the story of the area from medieval monks to the modern day, stopping at some brilliant community murals by Commando Jugendstil, including The Tale the Brook Told, Between Two Waters and the Katesgrove Time Travel Tunnel.

📅 Thursday 1 October
🕥 10.30am to approx. 11.30am
📍 Starting at Coley Place, opposite The Castle Tap
☕ Finishing at Holy Brook Nook, where there’ll be free refreshments and a chance to meet some of the people helping to care for this special community space.

The walk is completely FREE, but places are limited and tickets are going fast, so booking is essential.

🦋🌿 Here’s what we got up to at our latest Pop Up & Play at the Holy Brook Nook! 🌿🦋
On Saturday 22nd August, we had lots of butterfly crafting fun! From colourful creations to a cute little pug that transformed into a butterfly 🐛➡️🦋 it was a wonderful afternoon of creativity and nature-inspired play.

🦋 Not long until Pop Up and Play! 🐛

We’ll be back at Holy Brook Nook on Saturday 22nd August, 1.30 pm to 3.30 pm for an afternoon of butterfly and caterpillar-themed fun.

Families can get creative with wearable butterfly wings and wild art, discover more about these amazing insects with , and head into the garden for cress planting, mint foraging and watering activities with Food4Families Reading. 🌿🎨

It’s completely free, relaxed and perfect for families who fancy some outdoor fun together.

No booking needed, just come along!
