Connect at The Unity Hub also has regular drop ins from local support services. Please keep an eye on the events section of this page. The Unity Fridge offers basic food items to anyone who is struggling, with no referral needed. We ask for a donation of £2 per person to cover our running costs. We are located in the centre of Rawtenstall at the Unitarian Church on Bank Street. The church can be accessed either from Bank Street (go through the gates at the front of the church and follow the building around to the right) or Ormerod Street (our car park and step free pedestrian access to the church are at the end of the street). We are keen to support as many people as we can, especially during these difficult times, and we would encourage anyone in need to stop by on a Tuesday between 11am and 12:30pm. We also signpost to other local groups and organisations that may be of help. If you would like to help us, you can do so in the following ways:
Donate food items (we can accept perishable items such as cheese, milk, cooked meats as long as they are within use by dates. We cannot accept raw meat and fish however)
Help as a volunteer - we need help collecting food donations from local supermarkets or people to help us run the fridge on Tuesdays
Mention us to someone who might need us
