Connect at The Unity Hub

Connect at The Unity Hub Join us on Tuesdays from 11am -12.30pm for a brew and sweet treat, alongside support with food for those in need.

Connect at The Unity Hub also has regular drop ins from local support services. Please keep an eye on the events section of this page. The Unity Fridge offers basic food items to anyone who is struggling, with no referral needed. We ask for a donation of £2 per person to cover our running costs. We are located in the centre of Rawtenstall at the Unitarian Church on Bank Street. The church can be a

ccessed either from Bank Street (go through the gates at the front of the church and follow the building around to the right) or Ormerod Street (our car park and step free pedestrian access to the church are at the end of the street). We are keen to support as many people as we can, especially during these difficult times, and we would encourage anyone in need to stop by on a Tuesday between 11am and 12:30pm. We also signpost to other local groups and organisations that may be of help. If you would like to help us, you can do so in the following ways:
Donate food items (we can accept perishable items such as cheese, milk, cooked meats as long as they are within use by dates. We cannot accept raw meat and fish however)
Help as a volunteer - we need help collecting food donations from local supermarkets or people to help us run the fridge on Tuesdays
Mention us to someone who might need us

Yes Rossendale, we're ready to do this again! We'll be back at Tesco Rawtenstall tomorrow (Saturday) from 11am to 3pm collecting food and donations for the food bank element of the service that we provide.

Your generosity was SO appreciated last time and had such a positive impact.

And now we need to do it all again...

See you tomorrow 😊

Please share - you never know who might need this service.

The World Cup is a time of big emotions, large public gatherings and inevitably, a lot of alcohol.

For many, this can be overwhelming or can spark serious problems for them at home.

If it’s all getting a bit much during the next few weeks - come join us at the The Unity Hub, Rawtenstall on Bank St - we have an open door for every England match during the tournament.

We’ll be open for an hour before kick off and all the way through to an hour after the match ends. The sessions will run for as long as England stay in the tournament.

Free refreshments, activities for the kids and advice about working with our project partners Be Free if you need some help knowing what to do next.

Come join us!

As the World Cup begins this week, we’ll be ramping up our ‘Crossing the Line’ campaign across Rossendale and beyond, starting tonight with our latest campaign reel.

We’ll also be sharing details of how you can access our ‘England Game Safe Space’ during the tournament.

Lots happening - and as a taster, here’s our core message before the big reveal tonight.

Remember -

- LISTEN to people’s story
- BELIEVE what they are telling you
- SIGNPOST them to the help available

No-one should be made to suffer alone.
It’s not their fault if it doesn’t come home.
