What a fantastic day we had at Raskelf Village Fete……… seeing all the people coming in and the look on the children’s faces when they saw all the activities, made all the hard work pulling it together well worthwhile.

Keep your diaries free this Sunday 14 June……..It’s Raskelf Village Fete between 11am : 3pm
We have loads going on for all the family.
You’ll be welcomed by some fantastic music from Shepherd Concert Brass Band, playing everything from Taylor Swift to Abba… 🎼🎺

But thats not all, we also have Ampleforth College’s Pipe Band, who be playing during the afternoon too🎶

Ooh….. did I mention the fabulous stalls including:

Must not forget the Dog Show which will start at 1.30 & Dog Agility which is ongoing during the Fete

How disappointing that the Fete signs on the Green have been pulled up & just thrown in the ground!
If you have any idea who may have thought it funny to do this mindless vandalism, have a quiet word?🤷‍♀️

On a more positive note, the fete will be a great family day, come join us.

Did we mention, the fantastic independent stalls, the Dog Show & Dog Agility, Strawberries & Cream & Pimms?
How about the Hobby Horse Racing, Adopt a Teddy, the Ice Cream Van, the Face Painting & the Kiddies Crafts……. to say nothing about guess the balloons in the tractor & our very own Shetland Pony?

Stained Glass Workshop - 5th July

Bring light and color into your life! Join us at Raskelf Village Hall for an intimate, hands-on workshop where you’ll create your own beautiful stained glass masterpiece.

​Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to refresh your skills, this session is the perfect way to spend a creative morning. You’ll have your choice of three exclusive designs on the day—including vibrant landscapes and contemporary styles—allowing you to create something that truly fits your home.

​What to Expect

​Under expert guidance, you will learn the essentials of selecting glass, cutting, and assembly. To ensure everyone receives plenty of one-on-one support, this workshop is strictly limited to just 8 participants.

​The Details

​When: 5th July
​Time: 11am
​Where: Raskelf Village Hall, York Rd, Easingwold, Raskelf, YO61 3SD
​Cost: £80 per person (Includes all materials, tools, and your finished piece)
​Safety & Clothing Requirements

​To keep everyone safe while working with glass and tools, please follow these guidelines:

​Footwear: Full-toed shoes must be worn (no sandals or flip-flops).
​Clothing: Please wear long sleeves and old clothes you don't mind getting messy.
​Hair: Long hair must be tied back for safety.
Please note, because of the use of lead, this workshop is not suitable if you're pregnant or breast feeding.

It’s that time of year and our annual summer Fete is coming up with lots of family friendly activities in the pipeline.
We have a really full programme planned for you including the following:

We have a Beer Tent serving, wine & soft drinks as well as a variety beers
BBQ with burgers, hotdogs - we’ll cater for Vegetarians & Gluten Free too

Lots of vintage vehicles, everything from steam engines, to land rovers and minis - well worth seeing

Studio Dose - offering fun fitness for both children & adults

Full size tractor with guess the number of balloons, curtesy of the cricket club.

Tennis courts will be opened up for “have a go” sessions

Dog Show & Dog Agility - no need to pre-book, just bring your dog along and see how it goes. There will be lots of different categories to suit all including … best boy, girl, puppy, veteran, pedigree, crossbreed, waggiest tail, etc - your Parish Council has kindly lifted the dog restrictions for the day, but we do ask that you please keep close control of your dog and, other than participating in the show, keep on a short lead at all times.
