🎄✨ Randalstown Christmas Light Switch On – Save the Date! ✨🎄

As part of the “Light Up the Borough – Santa’s Quest to Save Christmas!” festivities, Randalstown’s switch-on will take place on Friday 21 November 2025, from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm, at John Street Car Park.

Expect festive entertainment, family activities, and a magical moment when Santa (with help from the winner of the “Santa’s Controller Quest”) flips the switch to bring the lights to life across the borough.

Admission is FREE, so come along, bring your family, your friends, your neighbours — let’s make this night magical and prove that this cherished event deserves to continue year after year. ❤️

🎨 Arches Annual Christmas Colouring Competitions will also be making a return this year! Entry sheets will be delivered to local schools soon, so keep an eye out — it’s a fantastic way for our young artists to get involved in the Christmas celebrations!

🚨 Find out more about our New Autism Centre in Randalstown 🚨

The National Autistic Society NI is opening a new state of the art Autism Centre in Randalstown in 2025 and we would like to invite people to attend an information and consultation event on the 27th May 7-9pm at the Ballymena North, Recreation and Business centre. At the core of the Autism Centre will be day provision for adults with high support needs and in the evenings and weekends we aim to provide services for autistic adults and children across the spectrum and support for parent/carers. A RANDALSTOWN gym owner who is well known for setting himself tough fundraising challenges is preparing for his hardest battle yet. “On the 30th of March I’m going to be attempting something that no one else has ever completed before,” said Michael Tolan, of MT Sculpt.

COMMUNITY CENTRE OPEN NOW TILL 4pm AND TOMORROW 12noon TILL 2pm

Due to the widespread power outage in rural areas of Randalstown I have requested that an emergency centre is opened in Neilsbrook community centre for those without power to access hot drinks, chargers etc. showers can also be used if needed Council officers have agreed to assess the situation this afternoon and further updates will follow.
