🔥 CAMP HIGHLIGHT #1 — CAMPFIRE! 🔥
You can’t have camp without a campfire… even when there’s a fire ban! 😂🔥✨
So we improvised, and our fire-ban-friendly campfire still made the perfect setting for a pretty special evening.
⚜️ 2 Leaders invested
⚜️ 3 Scouts invested
🏆 1 Gold Award celebrated!
Plenty of songs, laughs and memories around the “fire” to kick off our Camp Highlights Week.
Turns out you don’t actually need flames to have a cracking campfire! 🏕️⚜️🔥

🏕️ WE’RE CAMP READY! 🛒😂

The shopping trolley is full, the kit is packed and somehow we’ve managed to remember most things… 👀

Now there’s only one thing left to do…

LET CAMP BEGIN! ⛺🔥⚜️

🏕️ More camp prep underway!

Today’s job… the all-important marquee check! ✅

Up it goes, tables and chairs out, making sure everything is present, working and ready to survive another camp! 😂

It might only be a test run for now, but camp is definitely starting to feel very close… 👀🏕️

Apparently a normal-sized paddleboard wasn't quite enough for us… 😏😂

Say hello to the latest addition to our water fleet — 18 FEET of MEGA paddleboard! 🌊🤯

And yes, that is Guns lying on it for scale… turns out we like our paddleboards on the slightly larger side at the 6th. 👀😂

Plenty of room for a whole crew, plenty of opportunity for absolute chaos, and another brilliant addition to our ever-growing water fleet. ⚓️💦

After all… we've never really been a group for doing things by halves. 😜

Can't wait to get this monster onto Ramsgate Harbour… just hope it fits! 😂⚓️

🛶 New kit delivery!

Two brand-new leader kayaks arrived this morning! 🙌

With different-sized kayaks now available, we can make sure our leaders have the right fit and are comfortable out on the water.

Another great addition to our growing water fleet! 🌊⚓

2 weeks to go! 🐿🎉🎉

🐿️ JUST 2 WEEKS TO GO! 🐿️

The countdown is well and truly on… in just two weeks, our brand-new Squirrel Drey will officially open its doors! 💙

We’ve already got a brilliant little group ready to start their Scouting adventure, but we still have a few final spaces available for children aged 4–6.

Squirrels is all about making friends, having fun, trying new things and starting a lifetime of adventure — and this is the chance to be part of our new section right from the very beginning.

Making friends as an adult isn't always easy… 👀

Volunteering with Scouts is a great way to meet new people, try things you probably wouldn't normally do and have a lot of laughs along the way. ⚜️

You don't need any previous Scouting experience — just a bit of spare time and a willingness to get involved.

Do something worthwhile, have some fun and maybe make a few new friends while you're at it!

The camp prep has officially begun… and more importantly, the brownies are underway! 🤤🍫

Two massive trays should keep them going for at least 10 minutes… 😂

Not long now until we’re packed up and off on another 6th Ramsgate adventure! ⚜️🏕️
