🎳 Volunteers’ Week – Day 3 💙
One of the best things about volunteering with 6th Ramsgate Sea Scouts is the friendships you make along the way.
This photo is from a previous leaders' bowling night, where we took the opportunity to get together, enjoy some friendly competition, share plenty of laughs, and spend time as a team outside of our regular Scouting activities.
While volunteering is about helping young people gain skills for life, it's also about becoming part of a supportive community. Many of our volunteers have built lasting friendships through Scouting, creating memories both on and off the water.
From camps and activities to social events and nights out, being a volunteer means joining a team that supports each other, celebrates together, and has fun along the way.
Thank you to all our volunteers who make 6th Ramsgate Sea Scouts such a fantastic place to be.

🌊 Volunteers’ Week – Day 2 💙

Today we’re celebrating the incredible volunteers who make adventures like this possible at 6th Ramsgate Sea Scouts.

From helping our young people get on the water, teaching new skills, ensuring activities run safely, and giving up their time week after week, our volunteers are at the heart of everything we do.

This photo captures just one moment from an exciting kayaking session, but behind every activity is a dedicated team of leaders, helpers, trustees, parents, and supporters who make it all happen.

A huge thank you to every volunteer who gives their time, energy, and enthusiasm to help our young people grow in confidence, learn new skills, and create lasting memories.

Behind every sailing session, camp, paddle, hike and adventure is a team of volunteers giving their time to make it happen.

This photo shows some of our volunteers taking part in water safety and rescue training. Regular training like this helps ensure we can continue to provide safe, exciting activities for young people across 6th Ramsgate Sea Scouts.

Whether it's leading a section, maintaining our HQ, helping at events, fundraising, driving a minibus, or jumping into the harbour for rescue practice, our volunteers make a huge difference.
