Nuttall Park "The Friends" are a small group of local people who volunteer their time to maintain & improve the facilities & green spaces of Nuttall Park.

We have a Gardening Group & we open a Tea Room mainly on Saturdays and Sundays when we have volunteers to run it. The Friends of Nuttall Park are a group of volunteers who help to keep the park tidy and through raising funds improve the park by adding playground equipment and plants. We encourage activities that are in harmony with the park and encourage a greater interest in the park for people of all ages. We are always looking for new volunteers

• Entrance to the parade is FREE. Starting outside the tearoom at 5pm you will be led on a slow walk for one lap of the park.

• Business as usual in the tearoom from 10am.

• In addition, homemade cakes, hot dogs and soup will be available from 3pm until 5pm, after which the tearoom will be closed.

• Allow plenty of time before the parade to enjoy the food and drink and for photo opportunities with the witches, skeletons and other creepy characters

The Friends of Nuttall Park would thank to thank all those who support the Tea Room on a weekend. We are however looking for more volunteers to help. If you are interested, call in and speak to one of our existing volunteers.

We use your donations to improve the park, and thanks must go to our Gardening group who meet every Tuesday afternoon from 1:30 until the end of November. These photos were taken a couple of weeks ago, but the beds are still looking good, so visit the park soon to appreciate them.

We have also contributed to the maintenance of the War Memorial this year, but we are looking for helpers who are interested in joining a small group to ensure the memorial is maintained long term by completing the painting of the rocks and varnishing them to try and ensure the paint doesn't fade.

Please contact [email protected] or call into the Tea Rom if you interested in helping the Friends of Nuttall Park

Our next event is our popular Lantern Parade on Saturday 31st October from 3 p.m. More details nearer the time
