And they’re off!🥾
After 3 years of planning, training and fundraising our Explorer Belt to Finland is finally underway.
Good luck to all 6 teams from across Bury and Ramsbottom Scout District and Prestwich, Radcliffe and Whitefield District Scouts -PRaWs, we will see you in 10 days and 100 miles time at the finish.

A massive shout out to the Dragnet Cumbria team for organising a great event once again this year!

After 35 hours covering over 80km in all weathers all 3 Ramsbottom Explorer teams made it over the finish line including a 6th and 10th place finish. Only 1/3 of teams completed this years competition so great to see the perseverance and determination to battle on through.

Congratulations to this years victors, we shall be back again next year!

Last weekend saw our annual Scout and Explorer event Escape Rammy take place.
With 14 teams and 75 young people taking part as they tried to evade capture between Affetside and Holcombe Village.

Congratulations to the winning team from 7th Greenmount - The Pack Horsemen of the Apocalypse

A big shout out to all participants and catchers for braving the heat and all the leaders for giving up their Saturday morning to support the event.

Also thank you to Margaret Haes Riding Centre for the use of the arena for some well needed shade at the finish.
