Ramsbottom Explorers We are Ramsbottom Explorers, your local Explorer scout unit located in the heart of Ramsbottom.

We are looking to help out the community of Ramsbottom in as many ways as possible, have a look at our page to see what kind of things we get up to.

The longest running and simply the best family bonfire and fireworks event is back for our 55th year! Where else do you get the traditional stalls for all your fairground style games and fun, alongside the biggest bonfire and best fireworks in the area!?
Saturday 7th November 2026 is the date, get it in the diary now! Tickets go on sale on-line on Monday 14th September, with paper tickets available from Greenmount Butchers & Delicatessen later in the month.

With all the teams back in after 10 days of hiking a combined 7 million steps through Southern Finland, learning the local traditions, jokamiehenoikeus, foraging lingonberries, and embracing sauna and cottage culture.

A big thanks to all the hosts and people they met along the way allowing them to truly experience Finnish culture first hand and explore your beautiful country.

Finally a big thanks to the team who made this happen. Countless hours of training, planning and preparation go into organising the Explorer Belt before giving up two weeks holiday to make it possible.

Now time to enjoy Helsinki and a last sauna before heading home.

Good luck to all 6 teams from across Bury and Ramsbottom Scout District and Prestwich, Radcliffe and Whitefield District Scouts -PRaWs, we will see you in 10 days and 100 miles time at the finish.
