Q is for QUIET 🤍
Sometimes, when your mind has been carrying too much for too long, you just crave quiet.
Not necessarily silence but quiet from the worrying, the overthinking, the “what ifs” and the constant pressure to be okay.
Lately, I’ve realised that I don’t have to have everything figured out. Some things are simply out of my control, and worrying about them won’t change the outcome.
So I’m learning to quiet the noise.
To take things one day at a time. To protect my peace. To rest without feeling guilty. And to remind myself that a difficult day doesn’t mean a difficult life.
Sometimes the quiet is exactly where we begin to find ourselves again. 💗
Q is for Quiet… and today, I’m choosing a little more peace. 🌿

P is for PROGRESS 💗
One thing I’m learning is that progress doesn’t always look the way we expect it to.
Sometimes progress is getting out of bed.
Sometimes it’s showing up when you’d rather hide away.
Sometimes it’s accepting that you’re struggling instead of pretending you’re okay.
And sometimes, progress is simply making it through a difficult day and trying again tomorrow.
I’m learning not to measure myself against the person I was before. I’ve been through a lot, and I’m still finding my way.
So today I’m reminding myself:
Slow progress is still progress.
Rest is part of progress.
And I’m further forward than I think. 💗

O is for Overwhelmed 💚
This one feels very real for me at the moment because overwhelmed is exactly how I’ve been feeling.
There’s been so much to deal with physically, mentally and emotionally, and some days even the smallest things have felt huge. I’ve found myself trying to keep going, trying to be there for everyone and trying to get back to some kind of normality, while inside my head has been saying, “I can’t cope with all of this.”
But I’m learning that feeling overwhelmed doesn’t mean I’m failing. It means I’ve been carrying a lot.
Last night, being back at Tallie’s Talk Group reminded me why having somewhere to talk, laugh, cry and simply be yourself matters so much. I didn't have to pretend I had everything together — because I don't.
So if you're feeling overwhelmed too, please remember you don't have to sort your whole life out today.
One thing at a time. One hour at a time. One day at a time.
Sometimes just getting through is an achievement. 💚🩷

What a night ❤️
Thank you so much to everyone who welcomed me back tonight with such kind words. I won’t lie, I was nervous about coming back, but being surrounded by such a lovely group of women reminded me exactly why Tallie’s Talk Group means so much to me.
There were a few tears, lots of honesty, but thankfully even more laughter , just how we like it! 😂
Thank you to every single person who was so present tonight, who listened, shared, supported and simply showed up for one another. That’s what this group is all about. 💚🩷
It was also so lovely to welcome three new ladies to the group tonight. I really hope you enjoyed getting to know some of the ladies and, most importantly, felt welcomed and comfortable.
After being away for a while, tonight meant more to me than you probably realise.
It’s good to be back. 💚🩷

N is for… NO 🙅‍♀️
Such a small word, but sometimes one of the hardest words to say.
No, I can't do that today.
No, I don't have the energy.
No, that doesn't work for me.
No, I'm not comfortable with that.
No, I need to put myself first.
How many times have you said YES when every part of you wanted to say NO?
We worry about upsetting people.
We feel guilty.
We don't want to disappoint anyone.
We don't want to seem selfish or difficult.
But here's something I'm learning…
Saying NO doesn't make you a bad person.
It means you're recognising your own limits.
You don't have to run yourself into the ground to prove you care about other people.
You don't always need a long explanation either.
Sometimes NO is a complete sentence. 💚
Protect your energy.
Respect your limits.
Choose yourself sometimes too.
🩷 What do you find hardest about saying NO?

Tomorrow, I'll finally be back at Tallie's Talk Group 💚

I've genuinely missed you all, and I'm so looking forward to seeing everyone again. If I'm a little quieter than usual or seem a bit overwhelmed, please bear with me.

The last few months have been incredibly difficult, and while I'm excited to be back, the truth is that my mental health isn't in a great place. I'm still navigating a few ongoing challenges and finding my feet again.

Thank you for keeping this group the safe, supportive space it's always been. Sometimes the strongest thing we can do is show up exactly as we are and that's what I'll be doing tomorrow.

Bring a brew, bring yourself, and we'll get through it together. 💕

💚 M IS FOR MASKING 🩷
“I’m fine.”
Two little words that can hide so much.
Masking is when we put on a smile, crack a joke, go to work, look after everyone else and carry on as though everything is okay… when underneath, we might be struggling just to hold it together.
Sometimes we mask because we don’t want to worry people.
Sometimes we’re scared of being judged.
Sometimes we don’t know how to explain what’s going on inside our heads.
And sometimes, we’ve worn the mask for so long that taking it off feels frightening.
Mental health doesn’t always look like someone struggling.
💚 Check on the strong friend.
🩷 Check on the funny friend.
💚 Check on the one who always says, “I’m fine.”
And if you’re the one wearing the mask today, remember — you deserve somewhere you can take it off.
At Tallie’s Talk Group, you don't have to pretend.
Come exactly as you are. 💚🩷
M is for Masking.
What are you hiding behind your “I’m fine”?
