World Cup Sweepstake for Anja’s Memorial Fund ⚽️

We thought we’d have a bit of fun while raising a little more money for Anja’s Memorial Fund!

We’re running a World Cup sweepstake, with teams allocated completely at random using an online wheel. The draw will be screen recorded and shared so everyone can see it is fair.

Teams are £5 each and you’re welcome to buy more than one team.

The prize fund will be 50% of all ticket sales, with the remaining 50% going directly to Anja’s Memorial Fund to help fund lifesaving cardiac screening for young people.

Prize breakdown:
🥇 1st Place – 30% of ticket sales
🥈 2nd Place – 15% of ticket sales
🥉 3rd Place – 5% of ticket sales

If all 48 teams are sold, the prizes would be:

* 1st Place: £72
* 2nd Place: £36
* 3rd Place: £12

Since losing Anja suddenly to an undiagnosed heart condition, our incredible community has helped raise more than £60,000 towards cardiac screening and awareness. Every fundraiser, no matter how big or small, helps us continue creating a lifesaving legacy in her memory.

Entries close Wednesday 17th June at 7pm, or sooner if all teams are sold. Teams will be secured once payment has been received.

Anja’s fund first screening!

Thank you to everyone who has supported us to get to this first milestone.

🩷We screened 100 young adults
🩷3 were referred for further tests
🩷We raised £509.50 to go towards further screening
🩷We had 10 no shows but were able to fill 7 of these spaces through our waitlist.

Can’t wait for the next one.

For those booked on, coming from out of the area, you can park at The Woolshops, Postcode HX1 1AA. Alternatively, park at Vue HX1 1UX (we’ve been made aware of road closures in and around Halifax due to a parade so allow extra time to travel and park).

We’re over the moon to share the news that Kev and I are finalists in the BBC Radio Leeds Make a Difference Awards. We received over 30 nominations in the fundraising category - so if you nominated us, thank you!

For us, it’s about spreading awareness, and raising as much as we can to screen our friends, family and local community for undiagnosed cardiac conditions.
