🌞🦁 A Wonderful Family Day Out at Cotswold Wildlife Park 🦒🐧

Thanks to the generosity of RR Solutions 110 Ltd, we were able to offer a family trip to Cotswold Wildlife Park for the children, young adults, and families who attend sessions at The Spring Centre.

The day was a great success, and our families were incredibly grateful for the opportunity to enjoy a day out together. We know that family outings can sometimes be challenging, so it was wonderful to be able to provide an opportunity for everyone to spend quality time together, make memories, and explore the park.

Despite a few showers, the weather was kind to us overall, allowing families to make the most of the day and enjoy seeing all the amazing animals and attractions.

A huge thank you to RR Solutions 110 Ltd for making this special day possible. Your support helped create a memorable experience for many local families and is greatly appreciated by everyone at The Spring Centre. 💙

🌟 Out of School Club Sessions at The Spring Centre 🌟

Now that the summer holidays are over, we'd like to remind families that we offer Out of School Club sessions for children who are home educated, attending part-time education, or currently waiting for a suitable school placement.

Our sessions run on Wednesdays and Fridays from 10:00am to 12:00 noon. If these days or times are not suitable, please get in touch as we may be able to consider alternative options.

These are parent/carer, PA, or TA-led sessions, with a member of Spring Centre staff available for support when needed.

During your visit, you'll have full use of our downstairs facilities and outdoor play area, including:

✨ Sensory Room
✨ Soft Play Area
✨ Large Play Room
✨ Music, Art & Reading Room
✨ Kitchen Facilities and Refreshments

Our fully enclosed outdoor space provides a safe and secure environment with:

🌳 Swings
🌳 Trampoline
🌳 Outdoor Gym Equipment
🌳 Sensory Play Equipment
🌳 Basketball Court

🏃‍♂️ Meet Our London Marathon 2027 Runner - Jonathon Dix! 🏃‍♂️

We are delighted to introduce Jonathon Dix, who will be taking on the London Marathon 2027 in support of The Spring Centre.

Supporting children and young adults with additional needs is a cause that is very close to Jonathon's heart. Having seen first-hand the importance of specialist support, understanding and inclusive opportunities, he understands the positive impact organisations like The Spring Centre can have on both individuals and their families.

Jonathon has been running consistently for the past year and recently completed his first half marathon. The experience gave him the confidence and motivation to take on an even bigger challenge, and he is now preparing for his very first London Marathon.

We are incredibly grateful that Jonathon has chosen to support The Spring Centre and help us continue providing vital services for local children, young adults and their families.

🌟 Children's Holiday Respite Fun! 🌟

We had a lovely week at our Children's Holiday Respite last week, packed with fun, laughter and lots of exciting activities! 😊

The children enjoyed a trip to Sherborne Cinema, where they relaxed and watched a film with friends, and we were delighted to welcome Magic Marie, who amazed everyone with her fantastic magic tricks and brought plenty of smiles and laughter.

Back at the Centre, the children took part in a variety of activities, games and creative fun, making the most of their time together.

It was wonderful to see everyone having such a great time, and fun was certainly had by all! 💙✨

🏃‍♂️ Meet Kevin Jackson! 🏃‍♂️

We are delighted to introduce Kevin Jackson, who ran the 2026 London Marathon for The Spring Centre and has kindly chosen to run for us again in 2027.

Running has been a lifelong passion for Kevin. Over the past 50 years, he has completed more than 40 marathons, demonstrating incredible dedication, determination, and enthusiasm for the sport.

Although Kevin will be contributing towards his fundraising pledge himself, we hope you will consider supporting his efforts and The Spring Centre with a donation. ☀️ Shade, Comfort and Care: Help Fund New Blinds ☀️

We're raising funds to purchase and install new blinds for two important areas of The Spring Centre: our upstairs Quiet Room and our downstairs Kitchen.

💙 The Quiet Room provides a calm, low-stimulation space for young adults who may become overwhelmed or need time away from busy activities. Effective blinds help us control natural light, creating a more relaxing and comfortable environment where individuals can regulate, rest, and feel secure.

🍽️ Our Kitchen is used daily for meal preparation, and family support services. New blinds will improve comfort, privacy, and temperature control, making the space more pleasant for everyone who uses it.

By supporting this project, you'll be helping us create more comfortable, welcoming, and accessible spaces for the children, young adults, and families who rely on our services every day.

Our Saturday Clubs have been full of fun this month!

From group games and activities to outdoor play and pizza making, there has been something for everyone to enjoy. 🍕😊

These sessions provide a great opportunity for children to socialise, develop new skills, and most importantly, have fun in a safe and supportive environment.

We love seeing so many smiling faces each week!

🌞 What a fantastic week our Young Adults have had! 🌞
With the hot weather upon us, we headed to Gloucester Cathedral to keep cool while exploring the incredible architecture, stone gargoyles, and fascinating displays. It was a wonderful opportunity to learn something new and enjoy such a beautiful local landmark.
A trip to Wholly Gelato, choosing from delicious ice creams and refreshing milkshakes was another cooling day out. 🍦🥤
We also enjoyed a relaxing trip on the Willowboat along the canal, taking in the scenery and spending quality time together on the water. 🚤☀️
Of course, no fortnight would be complete without our regular trip to the gym. 💪 It's always a favourite activity and plays an important role in improving strength, fitness, confidence, and mental wellbeing.

It's been a week full of adventure, friendship, exercise, and smiles. We can't wait to see what next week brings! 😊
