What an amazing day we have had at Todmorden College for our very first West Yorkshire Federation Bake Off!!
In the morning we had two rounds of 5 WIs competing for a place in the final. In round 1 Marsden Cuckoos and Flockton went through. In round 2 Darling Roses and the Federation team went through.
So it was all on for the afternoon and the Victoria Sandwich round. We had two trustees from Lancashire Federation to judge this. And at the end of the afternoon our star baker was Carol from Marsden Cuckoos!! Many congratulations.
The event was well supported by observers. A special mention must go to Amanda Rosewell President of Todmorden WI who put her heart and soul and many, many hours into making this day the success it was. Plus her team who kept everyone topped up with tea, coffee and cake!
Thanks to the following WIs for taking part.
Shibden WI Marsden Cuckoos WI, Flockton WI, Todmorden WI, Halifax Piecemakers WI, Darling Roses WI and Luddenden WI. Plus a team from the Federation.
