Please look after your fur babies in this heat. If you’re thinking of visiting Eastwoods Park with your pooch, we’ll have a bowl of water outside for them.

Please avoid walking your dog during the hottest part of the day, it might feel comfortable for you, but hot tarmac pavements can burn your babies toe beans!

Prudhoe Youth Project is delighted to offer FREE swimming sessions for young people and families throughout the summer holidays!

📅 Every Saturday from 11th July to 12th September
⏰ Swim session: 2:40pm – 3:40pm
🚪 Please arrive from 2:30pm
📍 Prudhoe Waterworld

Who can attend?
✅ Young people aged 8–18 years
✅ Families with younger children
✅ Priority to those with a NE42 post code

🎟 No booking required – just turn up!
⚠️ Places are available on a first come, first served basis.

Come along, have fun, stay active, and enjoy a splash with friends and family this summer!

The Butterfly Mound in Eastwoods Park is bursting with life at the moment. Perhaps we should change its name to the Bee Mound. There’s dozens of little furry bumblebees enjoying the flowers.

We created the mound from soil excavated from the wildlife ponds to create a habitat for pollinators, but also as a feature for visitors. It’s took some time to get it established sowing a wide range of plants and flowers for pollinators. But it’s looking stunning at the moment and the bees are loving it too.

The small living willow planted around the top edge of the mound, is growing quite well, and once big enough we’ll be weaving it into a larger structure.

Our foodbank supplies of everyday items are at critical levels.

We’re seeing increased demand and struggling to provide enough variation of food to support people.

Even everyday items likes tins of Bean’s. We have never in 7 years of running our foodbank had to ask for tins of beans!

Please help us, we know things are hard for everyone, and with the rising price of food and fuel, times are extremely hard.

We want to thank everyone who has donated or donated via our fundraising link. This means we can purchase items from wholesalers at cheaper prices.

Based on our current usage, our Trustees will have to consider the difficult decision to move to providing food parcels on a fortnightly basis as a way to control donations coming in and demand going out. This is very worrying times.
