We’re celebrating by shining a light on the incredible impact our volunteers make across our global community.

This year we launched new international Regional Networks in Victoria, Australia and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. These milestones were made possible through the dedication and leadership of our volunteers.

We also recognised outstanding contributions at the APM Volunteer Achievement Awards, celebrating individuals and networks whose work continues to inspire and strengthen our community.

Emerging project managers delivered meaningful community projects through the 2025 Project Management Challenge, with winners for the 2026 edition to be announced soon.

Thank you to every volunteer whose passion and commitment continue to shape our community.

Stakeholder engagement can make or break a project.

Yet, knowing who to focus on, who holds the real influence, and how everyone connects can often be the hardest part.

The truth is, stakeholders aren't machines. They bring different values, backgrounds and opinions to the table. So a list of names on paper will only get you so far.

That's why 'systems thinking' is the key for Ian Cribbes and Phil Macey, co-authors of our new APM Short Guide. It helps you step back, look at the whole picture, and spot the connections, tensions and perspectives that might otherwise stay hidden.

If this sounds useful, they've shared tips for putting systems thinking into practice.

Some projects define a career. Others define a region.

In this week’s episode, Emma De Vita talks to John McNeill ChPP, Head of Programme Delivery at United Utilities, about leading the £3bn Haweswater Aqueduct Resilience Programme (HARP) in North‑West England. John shares what it takes to launch a once‑in‑a‑generation infrastructure programme and what it’s really like delivering critical work under intense public and media attention.

If you’re interested in major infrastructure, programme delivery or the realities of high‑stakes leadership, this episode offers rare insight from someone doing it at scale.

The project professionals getting the most out of AI have one thing in common: they're asking the right questions.

As AI becomes more embedded in project delivery, prompting is quickly becoming a valuable skill in its own right.

The way you frame context, structure requests and refine responses directly shapes the quality of what you get back.

And in many ways, that’s already familiar territory for project professionals.|

Nina Ciuffardi, James Garner, and Nermeen Latif explore why AI works best as a thinking partner in their joint blog: https://bit.ly/4uK9nWL

Below, they've also shared 10 golden rules to help you level-up your AI prompts in your day-to-day work. Swipe to check them out.
