Ayrshire Bridge Union Ayrshire Bridge Union (ABU) - news and events The Ayrshire Bridge Union (ABU) is the Ayrshire district of the Scottish Bridge Union (SBU www.sbu.org.uk).

It is a non-profit making organisation that administers events and competitions in Ayrshire. It dates back to 1935 when it was called the Ayrshire Bridge League and in 1977 and has it’s own Bridge Centre in Prestwick. Ayrshire has 14 affiliated clubs and around 500 members. The Ayrshire Bridge Centre (address above) has 4 evening clubs, 3 afternoon clubs, a Junior club, a Friday afternoon Winter c

ompetition, a Wednesday evening Summer competition, a Monday morning practice group, league matches, a monthly Play & Learn group, bridge class and improvers classes throughout the Winter. Fortunately the weekends are there for additional competitions!! Besides the clubs at the ABC there are also clubs in Largs, West Kilbride, Kilwinning, Troon, Kilmarnock, and Ayr.
