Last weekend, three of the team from Onward Lives took on the challenge of Tough Mudder... and Smashed it!!!

Climbing walls and crawling through mud to working together through every obstacle, it was a day full of determination and teamwork.

A huge well done to the girls who took part. It's always great to see our team supporting one another, stepping outside their comfort zones and taking on new challenges.

Last week our Bethan delivered Safeguarding and Professional Boundaries Training with Recovery Homes at our Essex Street office last week.

It's great to see one of our team members sharing their knowledge and helping others feel more confident in their roles.

The feedback was lovely to read, with people saying the session was really useful and informative highlighting how much they took away about professional boundaries, safeguarding and putting that learning into practice. The group discussions were also a real favourite.

There’s something really powerful about seeing charities supporting charities. 💜

Neil represented Onward Lives at this week's Shout Connect Leyland Networking Group, where members swapped the usual networking session for a morning of volunteering at Regenerage Charnley Fold Activity Day Centre as part of Operation Clean Up.

Everyone got stuck into a range of jobs including painting benches, clearing overgrown areas, moving sheds and carrying out general maintenance to help improve the outdoor space.

Collaboration is at the heart of strong communities, and it's always inspiring to see organisations coming together to support one another. We're proud to have played a small part in a day that will have a lasting impact. 👏

We're incredibly proud to share some wonderful feedback from one of the Employment Officers at Virtual School for Looked After Children at Lancashire County Council about the difference our team is making.

We're delighted to share that Onward Lives has been awarded a Regional Impact Grant from the Irwin Mitchell Charities Foundation.

We have been recognised alongside ten other incredible charities from across the UK is something we're incredibly proud of.

This funding will support our work to help people overcome barriers, develop new skills and move towards sustainable employment, independence and brighter futures.

A huge thank you to the Irwin Mitchell Charities Foundation, everyone at Irwin Mitchell, and the colleagues who nominated charities through this year's programme. Your support will have a lasting impact.

What a way to start the week! 💙

We're kicking things off with some brilliant news from one of the people we've been supporting in our residential accommodation.

After 12 months with us, they've now got the keys to their own permanent home with Community Gateway and have started a full-time job with Multipave. 🏡💼

Watching someone grow in confidence and build a new life for themself is why we do what we do. It hasn't always been an easy journey, but they've put in the hard work and it's amazing to see it paying off.

A huge well done we couldn't be prouder. And thank you to Community Gateway Association and Multipave for giving someone the opportunity to take that next step.

What a month June has been for Onward Lives. 💙

This month has marked an exciting new chapter as we officially rebranded from Recycling Lives Charity to Onward Lives. While our name has changed, our mission remains the same: helping people move on for good through support, opportunity and community.

As we look back on June, we're incredibly proud of everything we've achieved alongside our participants, partners, volunteers, supporters and team.

This month we've...

Launched our new identity as Onward Lives, celebrating a fresh chapter while continuing the work we're so passionate about.

Strengthened partnerships by welcoming employers, organisations and supporters through our doors to create more opportunities for the people we support.

Delivered workshops, training and employability support to help people build confidence, develop new skills and take positive steps towards employment.

Celebrated participants moving into work, education and independent living, demonstrating the life-changing impact of the right support.

Continued providing vital food support across Lancashire and Cumbria through our FareShare operation, helping local charities and community groups support those most in need.

Hosted our Charity Gala Dinner, raising an incredible £22,377 to help us continue changing lives across our communities.

Marked World Wellbeing Week, Armed Forces Day, Pride Month and Father's Day, taking time to celebrate the people and communities that inspire us every day.

As we begin this new chapter as Onward Lives, we'd like to thank everyone who has supported us throughout our journey from our days as Recycling Lives Charity to where we are today.
