🧶💜 Reclaim The Night 2026 💜🧶

Every woman and girl deserves to feel safe. Safe walking home. Safe in her community. Safe living her life free from harassment, intimidation and abuse.

That's why we're proud that Hope Prevails Preston is joining partners from across Lancashire for this year’s Reclaim The Night March.

On 24th November, we'll come together to stand in solidarity, raise our voices, and send a clear message: violence against women and girls has no place in our communities.

This is a peaceful, family-friendly event and everyone is welcome. Whether you walk the whole route, join us at the social afterwards, or simply come along to show your support, your presence matters.

Real change happens when communities stand together, and together we can help create a future where women and girls can live free from fear.

📍 Meet: Ashbridge-on-Ribble Nursery, South Ribble
🕠 Gather from 5:45pm | March begins at 6pm
🏁 Finish: Crossgate Church, Preston (or join us there from 6:30pm)
📅 24th November 2026

We'd love to see as many people there as possible. Let's reclaim our streets, reclaim our voices, and reclaim the night 💪

We honestly don’t know how to start this one...

✨ GIRLS WHO WALK PRESTON CIC HAS BEEN AWARDED £20,000 FROM THE NATIONAL LOTTERY COMMUNITY FUND ✨

When we started Girls Who Walk Preston in January 2025, it was simply a way to get women together, make new friends and feel less alone. We never imagined that less than two years later we’d be sharing news like this.

To receive £20,000 from The National Lottery Community Fund feels incredible, but more than that, it feels like recognition of something we’ve all built together ❤️

Every person who has turned up to a walk on their own. Every friendship that’s been formed. Every volunteer who has given their time. Every member who has welcomed someone new into the group. You have helped create a community that is changing lives, and we’re so proud of what we’ve built together 🥹

This funding will allow us to expand our work over the next two years, making community connection, mental wellbeing support, and physical activity accessible to even more women and non-binary people in and around Preston.

What many people don’t see is that Girls Who Walk Preston is entirely volunteer-led. Everything we’ve achieved has been made possible by a team of incredible women who fit this around full-time jobs, families and everything else life throws at them. We do it because we genuinely believe in the power of community and the difference it can make when people have a safe, welcoming space to belong.

To everyone who has walked with us, supported us, encouraged us, volunteered with us or simply believed in what we’re building... thank you. This funding will help us reach even more women and non-binary people across Preston, but it belongs to this community as much as it does to us 🦋

A huge thank you to The National Lottery Community Fund and to National Lottery players for making this possible.

We are SO excited for what’s next... this is just the beginning for our (not so) little girl group 💙
