What a weekend of donations we've had! So many lovely items have come in, looked after with love and now freshly cleaned, ready to be gifted on to another family who needs them. 🧸

We're also incredibly grateful for the generosity shown through our PayPal donations — every contribution helps us purchase the essential items families need most.

Our property search has had a brilliant response too, and the kind, caring, appreciative comments you've shared with us mean the world. It's this support that spurs us on to reach even more families. 💛

🩷 WE NEED MOSES BASKETS 🩷

We have mums due to give birth any day, and we urgently want to make sure every newborn has a safe space to sleep.

Have you got a Moses basket that your family has finished with? We know these can hold precious memories and be sentimental, but we also know the incredible feeling of knowing it will help another family give their baby the very best start in life.

✨ Every family we support receives a BRAND NEW mattress, so every baby has a fresh and safe sleep space.

If you don't have a Moses basket but would still like to help, please share this post with your family and friends — it really does make a difference.

We will also gratefully accept donations of brand-new Moses baskets if you're able to support us.

🚐 OFF OUT ON THE ROAD AGAIN! 💨💙

It’s another busy day for the TippyToes team, with lots of deliveries heading out to families today — and we’ve made it all the way over into East Lancashire! 🥰

Meanwhile, back at base… Rachel and Linda have managed to find themselves a tiny bit of floor space in the office for about 2 minutes! 😂🙈

We’re still working hard behind the scenes, despite our current storage situation. Every delivery means another family getting the essentials they need. 💙

We’ve Been Blown Away! 💛

We honestly don’t have the words to thank everyone for the incredible response to our appeal for a place for TippyToes BabyBank to call home.

The support, donations, messages, offers of help and sheer kindness have completely blown us away. 🥹💛

And we have some very promising venues currently being investigated! 👀🏠

So… watch this space! 🤞✨

We’re keeping everything crossed that we may finally have some exciting news to share very soon.

💔 WE NEED A FAIRY GODMOTHER… OR MAYBE JUST A BUILDING! 🪄🏠
Some of you may have heard us on BBC Radio Lancashire this morning.
We are absolutely devastated. After months of planning, hoping and working towards our move into a new premises, the rug has quite literally been pulled from underneath us.
The building we were due to move into has now been sold, meaning we can no longer take up the space we had been preparing for.
We are currently operating from temporary storage, but it simply isn't suitable for us to work from long-term. It's incredibly difficult to sort donations, prepare referrals and support families from a storage facility.
We had been keeping going because we truly believed our new home was just around the corner. We have also been using some of our precious funding to cover storage costs — money that we desperately want to be spending on supporting families, not simply keeping our belongings somewhere.
So this morning we went on Radio Lancashire and put out a BIG shout-out:
📢 Does anyone have a building, warehouse, shop unit, community space or suitable storage that could help TippyToes BabyBank?
We need somewhere that could become our forever home — somewhere we can work, sort donations, prepare essential items and continue supporting the thousands of families who have already come through our doors, and the thousands more who need us in the future.
And to everyone who has been so patient with us — THANK YOU. ❤️
We know sometimes it's difficult for you to store donations too, and we really appreciate you asking if we can accept them. At the moment, we simply don't have the capacity.
If you've offered to keep items for us, please do — and just let us know when you need them collected or when you're ready to donate them. We appreciate every single item and every single person who thinks of TippyToes.
🙏 If you know of a suitable space, own a building, work for an organisation with empty premises, or know someone who might be able to help, PLEASE get in touch.
Maybe we really do need a fairy godmother with a wand to wave over TippyToes and make everything happen! 🪄✨

💛 WE MAY BE CLOSED, BUT THE WORK NEVER STOPS… 💛

Although TippyToes Baby Bank is currently closed due to staff holidays, the work continues quietly in the background. Today alone, we have supported 3 separate urgent referrals, getting much-needed items out to families who simply need a little bit of help.

Today’s support included:
👶 Travel cot
🍼 Breast pump
🧴 Steriliser
🍼 Bottles
🤱 Baby carrier
🥫 A food parcel to support one mum

This is just a small snapshot of the kind of practical support we provide to families when they need us most.

And if we don’t have what a family needs, we don’t just say no. We work with our amazing partners and other organisations to make sure that, wherever possible, the family gets the support they need. 🤝💛

A huge thank you to Ruby Abram for your help today — your support made a real difference to one of the mums we were helping. ❤️

We might have our doors closed, but behind the scenes TippyToes is still working, still supporting and still making a difference. 👣💛

📢 TIPPYTOES BABY BANK UPDATE 📢

We are now CLOSED until 24th August. ❤️

We will shout out if we have any urgent deliveries that need fulfilling or if there is specific equipment we urgently need that we don’t currently have.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who has donated over the last week. We have been absolutely blown away by your generosity and continued support. 🥰 Your donations make such a difference to the families and babies we support.

💻 Self-referrals are still open, but please be mindful that, unless your request is urgent, referrals will be dealt with from the week beginning 24th August.

If your need is urgent, please follow the instructions provided on our referral form so that we can respond appropriately.
