Three Preston musicians have teamed up on a new single exploring depression, mental health and suicidal thoughts.

September, released earlier this month, is a collaboration between rapper, producer and sound engineer BLKY (Liam Blake), multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Troisnyx (Annette Walker), and guitarist Greg Slater.

The song - recorded at Soundskills Studio in Brookfield - uses the imagery of a cold and rainy September to explore what it can feel like to experience sadness without an obvious cause, even at a time of year that might traditionally be associated with brighter days.

We’re here at Soundskills till 2 today if you fancy coming down to tell us what should go in the new facility on Brookie Park.

23/07/2026

Hi everyone. To help ensure the new play area & facilities on Brookie park are what you and local children & young people want we’ve created a survey. We’d be really grateful if you’d fill it in.

Also as a part of this green initiative, if you know any local elders or anyone else struggling to cut their hedge - please let us know and we can help.

We’re looking for somebody who might be happy to voluntarily crochet around this mobile for a piece of Artwork. It’s about 18 inches high and basically the various bits need covering in crochet. Anyone fancy it?
