🌟 Free creative workshops about motherhood, infant feeding and care.

We're pleased to announce that Feeding Chair will be hosted at The Harris alongside Feed at The Harris, a programme of free workshops and events exploring infant feeding, motherhood and public space.

🤱 Feeding Chair
📅 30 September 2026 - 4 April 2027

A specially designed chair and collaborative artwork inviting people to feed babies and young children in museums and other public spaces. From 30 September, Feeding Chair will be located on The Harris's first-floor balcony.

Join researchers Carole Hunt and Marie-Clare Balaam for an interactive workshop exploring motherhood through objects from The Harris collection.

🛠️ Care Fix
📅 5 & 12 October, 2 November | 10.30am-12.30pm
Architectural designers Ecaterina Stefanescu and Sam Eadington will lead a series of practical workshops re-imagining Preston city centre as a more welcoming place for people who are feeding and caring for babies.

📌 The chair forms part of Feed, an arts project about public breastfeeding, developed by In Certain Places at the University of Lancashire and will be accompanied by a free programme of workshops and events.
