We needed a special grid moment for this one…!

10 years after our glorious PYDC family member first attended UDance as a participant with PYDC, this weekend she was presenting her own youth work, choreographing on the brilliant

Our current PYDCers loved the work and could see themselves in it, seeing in action the DNA that stays with all those that have passed through the PYDC family over the last 14 years.

And this is something we’ve been reflecting on a lot recently…about the thread that connects all of our PYDC family together, the DNA that we find in everyone that has joined us on that journey and we even used this is the foundation of our latest PYDC piece ‘Threads of Us’…

Our community and practice is really important to us for this very reason…it’s lifelong. As we look to where our community are now, carving epic careers across the sector and beyond, we are so proud of those that have moved with us and helped us realise and hone this way of working. It continuously reminds us what an absolute privilege this job is 💙

Well we weren’t expecting that…!

PYDC had an incredible day at this weekend! Sarah picked up the Leading with Impact award and our James was awarded the Workshop Superstar award for his continuous commitment and enthusiasm in the workshops! We are so proud to be recognised for these, feels joyous!

It’s been a great weekend, especially introducing our newer PYDC members to the world of UDance and to The Lowry stage and its given another boost to get back in the studio and get creative all over again!

Thanks to the Lowry team for a really brilliant event and the opportunity to share our work with the North West!

Our Ingleton Young Dancers class is designed to support young people who love to be creative!
Different to traditional dance classes, we support children to work with their own ideas, imagination and energy to create dances they love as a way to develop their confidence and expression. We support them to improve physical skills, develop balance, coordination and stamina but also encourage problem solving, teamwork and creative thinking as key skills for life.

We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with the brilliantly talented pupils at Lytham CE Primary School for their entry to this years Wyre and Fylde dance competition! They are creative, imaginative, full of enthusiasm and produced and showcased a fantastic piece that celebrated their individual and collective spirit. So proud! Well done team!!
