PRESTON YOUTH DANCE COMPANY AUDITION
Thursday 10th September 2026

Preston Youth Dance Company is a contemporary, creative dance company who are modelled on a professional company, where dancers meet weekly on a Thursday evening to develop dance technique, work as a company to choreograph and perform exciting new dance works and share these on stages, outdoor settings and film across the North West and beyond.

We hold one main audition per year to invite new dancers to join the company. The next audition takes place on Thursday 10th September 2026, 5pm – 7pm. Everyone is welcome at the audition and there is no need to prepare anything in advance, we just ask that you complete the registration form (via link in our bio) so we know to expect you. It is simply a class where you will learn some technique, set dances and take part in creative tasks and have a chance to ask questions.

Open to anyone aged 11 – 19 years from Preston and the surrounding areas. We welcome any level of experience and dance style…we are looking for potential! Come see what it’s all about!

Our INSET training sessions equip teachers with the confidence and ability to teach exciting and engaging dance classes without having to know ‘dance steps’ or ‘specific styles’.

We guide teachers through a range of creative and pupil-led tasks which allow all learners to be challenged and to gain a sense of achievement within every lesson.
