Preston Sea Cadets is a uniformed youth organisation open to youths aged 10 - 18 year old. Preston Royal Marines Cadets is open to youths aged 13-18.

Are you interested in signing up to complete your Duke of Edinburgh's Award? Sign up for enrolment today! ⭐

Are you in Year 9 or the school year you turn 14 (S2/3)? You can enrol now on your Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award. If you are in Year 10 or the the school year you turn 15 (S3/4) then you can enrol for Silver. Once aged 16 you can sign up to Gold and you will have until your 25th Birthday to complete the award. 🙌

🚨 MOUNTAIN RESCUE VISIT 🚨

Last night, our cadets had the fantastic opportunity to welcome Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team (BPMRT) to the unit for an action-packed and educational evening ⛰️

Cadets learned about the vital work carried out by Mountain Rescue volunteers and were given hands-on demonstrations of specialist rescue equipment, casualty evacuation procedures and emergency response techniques.

The evening gave cadets the chance to develop teamwork, leadership and communication skills while working together to safely transport a casualty using a rescue stretcher 🚑

A huge thank you to the volunteers from BPMRT for giving up their time to inspire and educate our cadets — it was an unforgettable experience for everyone involved 👏
At Preston Sea Cadets, our cadets regularly take part in exciting activities that build confidence, practical skills and teamwork while having fun and making new friends.

🗓️ National Cadet Week 🗓️

Check out the official announcement for the launch of the first-ever National Cadets Week, which will take place from 5–11 October 2026!

This week is a celebration of the MOD's Sponsored Cadet Forces: The Royal Navy Cadet Forces (Sea Cadets and Royal Marines Cadets), the Combined Cadet Force, The Army Cadet Force, the RAF Air Cadets, and the Volunteer Cadet Corps.

For Sea Cadets and Royal Marines Cadets Cadets, National Cadets Week will be a significant moment. It will give us the opportunity to celebrate the life-changing experiences cadets receive through our units, in the field, in our communities.

We look forward to celebrating with you and alongside our tri-service colleagues in October!

❗Cadets must attend all 6 modules in the Cadet to Volunteer Programme.
You can be any rank but must be over 17 at the start of the course.

We would like to extend our Congratulaions to our very new Lance Corporal Rielly, an amazing acheivement on your Credit Pass on your Promotions Board this weekend.
The promotions board is a culminations of training and progress through the Royal Marines Cadets training sylibus as the cadets are assessed in the following areas,
Drill and Turnout,
Military Map Reading,
Fieldcraft,
RMC and SCC general knowledge.
Weapons Handling Skills (please note all weapons handing is cunducted under strict suppervision by fully qualified Skill At Arms Instructors).
If you think you would like to learn these skills and have the state of mind to become a member of Preston Royal Marines Cadets.
