Tribal Project

Tribal Project Tribal Project is your local charity dedicated to helping people recover from substance misuse.

We offer free, independent, and confidential support, providing the guidance you need to make a real difference in your life. Tribal Project is a registered UK charity based in Preston, Lancashire, dedicated to supporting individuals in recovery from substance misuse and associated mental health challenges. As a free and local service, we are proud to be a charity "for the people, by the people,"

rooted in the heart of our community and driven by the lived recovery experiences of our staff and volunteers. For over a decade, we have empowered hundreds of individuals to move away from crisis and toward balanced, fulfilling lives. We provide various support services, including crisis intervention, recovery and life skills training, volunteering opportunities, and pathways to work experience. We are committed to developing innovative recovery programs tailored to the needs of those facing challenges from various substances. Through education, skill-building, and social integration, we help individuals connect with their communities and unlock opportunities for brighter futures. With a non-judgmental, person-centred approach, Tribal Project creates a safe and supportive environment where everyone can find connection, belonging, and purpose. At Tribal Project, we believe in the power of community and recovery. We provide a platform for people to rebuild their lives, achieve their best future, and break the stigma surrounding substance misuse.

Tommorrow we will be launching a video of who we are as a charity.
We help so many people on their journey and I wanted to start our recovery month off by starting a fundraiser. I too have been on a journey of discovery which would never of happened if it wasn't for Tribal Project. If you can, please donate to help more people struggling. Sometimes a friendly face, connection, and kind words is what someone needs to feel safe to open up about their struggles. Thanks. Melanie πŸ’›

September is Recovery Month

September is a month to recognise, celebrate and raise awareness of mental health and substance misuse recovery.

At Tribal Project, we are incredibly proud of the work we do and the people we have the privilege of supporting.

We support people at different stages of their journey, whether they are:

πŸ’› Living with active substance misuse and ready to make a change
πŸ’› Building a life in recovery
πŸ’› Struggling with their mental health alongside substance misuse
πŸ’› Finding their confidence and purpose again
πŸ’› Working towards reconnecting with their community and everyday life

But recovery is about more than simply stopping a behaviour.

It is about building a life worth living.

That can mean finding somewhere safe to live, getting support with finances, improving wellbeing, rebuilding relationships, gaining confidence, developing new skills or simply having someone there who listens without judgement.

We offer a safe and confidential space where people can learn practical, evidence based tools, build understanding and take those next steps at their own pace.

And when we cannot provide the support someone needs, we will help them find it. Our role is not just to support recovery, but to help people reconnect with life and their community.

Throughout September, we will be sharing stories, information, recovery tools and the work that happens every day at Tribal Project.

Because change is possible.

Recovery matters. Mental health matters.

We are absolutely delighted to have received funding for The National Lottery Community Fund to support the work we do here at Tribal Project.

For a small grassroots charity like ours, funding like this makes a huge difference. It means we can continue providing a safe, confidential and supportive environment for those who need us the most.

Our approach is simple. We don't just focus on the problem. We help people understand their behaviours, develop practical tools and build the skills they need to move forward in recovery, wellbeing and beyond.

Every penny of funding helps us continue putting people at the heart of what we do and reaching those who may otherwise struggle to access support.

So from all of us at Tribal Project, and most importantly from the people whose lives we are able to support. ThankyouπŸ’›
