This is what true community spirit looks like đź’š

Every week, our volunteers give their time, energy and care to make sure no one is left behind. From sorting donations to preparing food bags with dignity and kindness, they’re at the heart of everything we do.

We’ve been running for a number of years now and have continued to grow, and that’s all down to our volunteers. We’re lucky to have students studying medicine and pharmacy who want to give back, as well as people working full time in all sorts of jobs who still come in after work each week to help out.

They turn up week in, week out with patience, warmth and a real desire to support others. We honestly couldn’t do this without them. Thank you to every single one of you for the difference you make to local families and to our community. 💚

Our sincere thanks to Olive School, Preston for their continued and outstanding generosity.

They donated an amazing amount of food to Noor Foodbank, and we’re truly grateful to the staff, pupils and families for the time, care and effort that went into making this happen. Olive Primary regularly supports us and it means a great deal to know we can rely on such a caring and committed school community.

The Cases recently held a Christmas homecoming show at The Ferret in Preston and invited everyone attending to bring a tin of food in support of Noor Food Bank. Thanks to their generosity and the kindness of their fans, they’ve now delivered a fantastic donation which will help support local families.

On World Mental Health Day celebrated every year on 10th October, it’s important to recognise the role that Noor Foodbank plays in supporting the community in Preston.

For many of our service users, the moment they walk through our doors may be the first time they’ve spoken to anyone all week. We’re not just providing food; we’re offering a listening ear, a friendly chat, and a place where people feel seen and valued.

Our support goes beyond meeting basic needs, we guide individuals on their journey to employment, offer financial advice, and help them take steps toward a brighter future. At Noor Foodbank, we believe that no one should feel alone, and we are committed to being that connection for those who need it most.

On this day, let’s remember to look out for each other. A small conversation or a simple gesture of kindness can make a world of difference to someone who might be struggling in silence. Together, we can build a stronger, more compassionate community.
