We need your help!

Good afternoon everyone.

You may have seen police activity in Ribbleton last night and we wanted to update you about what happened and see if you can help.

Our officers were called to Longridge Road at 9.20pm yesterday following reports of a collision involving a Sur-Ron EV motorcycle and a Vauxhall Corsa, which happened at the junction with Chatburn Road.

The rider of the Sur-Ron, a 19-year-old local man, has been taken to hospital with serious head injuries.

The driver of the car and her passenger suffered minor injuries.

Work is ongoing to establish the full circumstances which led to the collision and we are asking any witnesses or anyone with dashcam, doorbell, CCTV or mobile phone footage which could assist us with our enquiries to contact the police as soon as possible.

Email [email protected] or call 101 and quote log 1478 of 30th August 2026.
