Knit & Purl Jam - Prestons Yarnbombing collective - have set up our Halloween display today at our fabulous base in Argento Lounge . We are so chuffed with our Wheelbarrow of Pumpkins - wheelbarrow built by the fantastic team at Dig In Preston . - and we have lots of hand knitted and crocheted pumpkins for sale with the proceeds going to The Vault Youth Zone. Total gorgeousness in woolly form folks - grab yours or spread the word before they’ve gone ❤️🧶🎃🧶❤️

Our creative wellbeing year so far - we have groups running currently at St Cuthberts Church centre where local and refugee community members come together to get crafty, we worked with the Ladies at Preston Muslim Forum, held knitting and sewing groups at the Catherine Beckett Centre and are now back working with the Foxton centre and Sahara Project bringing the benefits of a meditative creative practice to our city groups ❤️

Mandala Healthier Together - our creative wellbeing activities and other crafty groups over the summer have produced some incredibly gorgeous works and encouraged people of all ages to get stuck in and experience the benefits of relaxing into an arts and crafts practice - so glad to have also had a chance to work with kids at this Met Tent - they don’t need the pleasure of getting creative explaining to them 😍 And to have been able to partner our activity with that of the Dig In team 😃
This autumn in addition to the St Cuthberts sessions we are looking forward to bringing our sessions to the Sahara Women and the Foxton service users 🙏

Lovely week so far - heart full seeing all the glorious knit and crochet from our St Cuthberts group in Fulwood and then an afternoon at the Met Tent for Men’s mental health day with Dig in - creating Recycled Vinyl clocks and decorating hand made chairs!

Last Tuesdays Creative Well being group was once again a hive of creative activity- crochet, knitting, sewing and painting but most importantly chatting and sharing laughs ❤️❤️❤️

This week was our busiest Creative Wellbeing session yet - 27 ladies were knitting, crocheting granny squares, crocheting make up bags and keyring cuties, painting up a storm and drawing fine line complex designs- of course I forgot my phone so no evidence 🤣🤣🤣
It is a beautiful session with lifelong Prestonians joining our newest members of the community from Iran, Afghanistan and all over the world 🌍🌎🌏

Another lovely afternoon at St Cuthberts yesterday where our ladies chatted and created, busy with lots of knitting and crochet - some beautiful artworks and a bit of felt work creating a cute fridge magnet ❤️❤️❤️. In June this gets even better when we start our Stitchcraft group on a Wednesday morning too 🧶🪡🎨
