Imogen had a fantastic day at the Next Generation Rural Networking Event hosted by
The afternoon started with a tour of where the owner, Nicola, explained how they go from kidding the herds to milking over 1000 goats! We watched the milking process and of course got to try their famous goat ice cream
The group then headed to to sample their fabulous farm-to-bottle gin and enjoy wood-fired pizzas whilst Jon from Napthens gave an informative talk on milk contracts, and how we can support our farmers since the new regulations have come into force. The talk also highlighted how NFU members can utilise our contract checking service.
Despite the rain, it was a brilliant day and a great opportunity to make new connections with young rural professionals in Lancashire
