Weymouth Bay Private Letting Owners Verification. This has been set up so that prospective guests can verify owners that they are about to book with.

I am an owner at Weymouth Bay and also co Admin of an owners group. There have been many scam posts on lots of the facebook letting groups, including those for Weymouth Bay. To try and prevent the scams taking place I have set up this page where guests can message me to ask whether the person they are intending to book with is an actual owner. No information is given out about any one owner it is just a confirmation of ownership.

Please remember that not all “owners” are genuine!!

You may have asked on a group somewhere for accommodation and you may have had someone contact you with “availability” BUT have you checked?? Seeing photos is not proof that they own it. Phot is are easily lifted and copied from the manufacturers website.

Did they offer you passes?? RED FLAG. No owner is allowed to give or sell you passes.

Did they give you a really good price?? RED FLAG if it’s too good to be true - it is!!

Are they pressuring you to book?? RED FLAG a genuine owner will wait for you to decide or verify.

Don’t let the excitement of finding the dates you want stop you from checking!!
Check the person you want to book with is genuine.
NEVER, ever reply to unsolicited messages.
NEVER reply to comments like “I have” or “message me”
No link means no caravan and no caravan means no holiday!!
Check with us, we will confirm whether the “owner” is genuine or not.

Scammers Galore at the moment!!

Please do not respond to ANYONE who does not include a link or asks you to message them.

This is NOT how owners will reply to you. Owners will always include a link to their page or booking platform where they are known to be verified.

If in any doubt whatsoever, message me and I will make sure that you have the information you need to book a holiday with a verified owner.

Check, check and check again.
If it all seems to be too good to be true - it probably is!!!

The scammer season is upon us!!

Please make sure you do your checks before you part with any money.

A genuine owner will not mind waiting for you to confirm that all is ok. They will actively encourage you to do so.

A scammer will tell you that their price (usually a good one) is only valid for a short while. They pressure you to book. They send you pictures of a caravan that doesn’t belong to them.
You will pay them and they will disappear with your money. No money and definitely no holiday.

Ask us, you will always get a quick reply. Here for your peace of mind.

If someone contacted you and said you can have a holiday for all your family for a really cheap price, would you be sceptical? Of course you would!!

Why, then, do people respond to comments on their own post asking for a caravan holiday and trust that they are offering just that, legitimately??

Please, think before you reply to any comments. Ask yourself, where is the link to their page or platform where they advertise.

no link = no proof of ownership.

No link= no proof= no payment made.

Don’t send anything to them, no matter how convincing they are.
A genuine owner will actively encourage you to check if you are unsure.

Don’t lose your holiday and don’t lose your hard earned money.

Make sure you check. Ask here, always here for you.

Not one but TWO scammers removed and banned today!!

If you have received a reply from Sarah Balderson or Sarah Grace Lawson please DO NOT respond. They are NOT owners at Weymouth Bay. They will take your money and they WILL disappear with it.

Please, please make sure you check throughly that they are genuine owners.

An Owners card with a photoshopped picture is NOT proof

Photographs of a caravan are NOT proof

Replies to your requests on this hire group without providing a link to a page or platform advertising a caravan are NOT proof of ownership.

No one wants to lose their money let alone their holiday.

Contact us and we will do everything within our power to out your mind at rest by confirming, or otherwise, that the person you wish to book with is a genuine owner.

The booking season is ramping up.

So will the scammers operations. So beware!!

Be aware that scammers will tell you anything you want to hear.

“Yes I have availability and yes the dates you want are a great price”

Only they are NOT - they don’t have anything except the skills to convince you they are genuine.

Caroline asked us if someone was genuine and we replied that they were, Caroline had a great holiday because she asked and made sure.

Be more like Caroline!!!

Always ask, always make sure they are genuine owners because they wont care if you lose your holiday or your money!!

A genuine owner will not mind you taking time to check, in fact they will encourage it if you’re not sure.

You think that they are genuine as they answer all your questions and seem really nice.

You buy your holiday in good faith and wait for the confirmation after you’ve paid a large deposit or possibly paid in full.

You wait and you wait but nothing ever comes, you try and message them but it won’t send because they have now disappeared!! And blocked you.

NEVER, EVER book with someone that doesnt provide a separate link to their caravan page or a platform/website where they are a verified owner.

Always check their details, check with others that they are an owner.

We operate for Weymouth Bay Only and are here for you to check if the person you want to book with are genuine owners.

Message and give us a name and pitch number, we will confirm if they are genuine or not.

As we start the season where you are looking for a holiday please be aware the scammers operate 24 hours a day 7 days a week a week!!

They do not care that you have saved for your holiday they will take your money regardless and disappear.

Please make sure you do your checks.

Get them to provide a working link to their caravan

Ask them where they are on the site

Ask us if they are a genuine owner BEFORE you part with any money. Genuine owners will encourage you to check.

Do not be pressured by them telling you other people want your dates.

Peace of mind and a wonderful holiday is what you deserve. Make sure you get it.

Scammers operate without conscience!!

They don’t care that this holiday you’ve booked and paid for is the only one your family will have this year, they don’t care that you’ve worked and saved hard to have this family holiday.

They will take your money and disappear from sight. No question.
These steps will help protect you:-

NEVER send money without checking the bank details - a quick google search on the sort code will tell you if it’s reputable bank.

NEVER book anything without a proper link to their caravan page. E.G a booking platform or a page with all information contained (contact details etc)

ALWAYS check details. There are usually pages for each caravan site where you can ask questions about them.

A GENUINE OWNER will not mind you checking. They will hold a date for you while you do this.

We are here to help you with owner verification at Weymouth Bay, whether you book through this group or on Facebook marketplace (not always recommended although there are genuine owners on there)
