I've been at a glass studio this week with my good friend Lin of Glas-uk , who has been teaching me the art of stained glass window making and restoring.

Apparently I am top solderer! πŸ…

It is a tricky and delicate craft but brilliant to see an expert at work.

Also in the same studio I got to see some glass baubles being made.

It was very hot, perhaps not the wisest choice for this week's weather πŸ”₯πŸ˜„

I occasionally am a walk leader for the weekly guided group walk organised by the Bridgend Centre Bollington

There are some beautiful walks in the local area, the one I led this week was up to Bollington's famous landmark White Nancy.

The Bridgend Centre runs a range of services for the community aimed at promoting positive mental health, for example befriending, trips out, social groups and hobby activities and just providing a listening ear. They also run guided walks and exercise classes such as Tai Chi.

And they've got a great charity shop!
(Can't resist a good charity shop)

Check them out if you're in the area

6 crafters had a most enjoyable time this morning getting lost in the mindfulness of creating willow garden obelisks, all slightly different to their own individual style and design.

Our next willow weaving workshop is a nice short Summer evening one, weaving beautiful willow heart decorations (a couple of examples are at the end of these photos)

Hope to see you soon

I hope to improve the camera focus after they've fledged, but not going to disturb them.

Bluetits returning to nest for the second year.🐦🐦πŸͺΊ

We have wagtails nesting in the workshop, and from the look of things they may be ready to fledge this weekend! Definitely 4, maybe 5. πŸͺΊ

The same wagtails have returned for the third time to nest in boxes on the same shelves so they seem quite ok with me being in the workshop too.
They are constantly in and out feeding their babies, and pooping on my van on their flight out πŸ˜„πŸ•ŠοΈπŸ’©

We also have bluetits nesting in a box I have a camera in, although it is a bit out of focus. They have little pink featherless babies with yellow beaks! 🐦🐦

I love the springtime when everything is coming to life. 🌱

Pizza time at the farm!

Freshly baked pizzas, potatoes and other veggies... Yummy! πŸ˜‹

I made this oven using reclaimed fire bricks, and clay I dug up when I was digging the pond.

Oh yes and the mosaic took *forever*

Looks great though

Piggies! πŸ–πŸ–πŸ–

We had a herd of willow pigs on the farm on Sunday!

Apparently the collective term for a group is a parcel of pigs! Or a drift of pigs!

Such fun creativity 🐷
