We have a few photos from our incredible Bat Walk that went ahead last Saturday.
Despite the cold wind that picked up, we were delighted to find 2 x different Bat species detected throughout our evening walk in the village. The Common & Soprano Pipistrelle 🌳✨️
We enjoyed using our own bat detectors on the walk & comparing different apps too. There was a variety of books, info sheets & bat cards available from our ecologist Simon Parkes. The bat cards were awesome, they were like a trump card summarising how each species colonised, call frequency, their feeding height, migration distance, wing span etc it really was pretty cool!! 🦇🌿
After the chilling walk we warmed ourselves back up at the hall with hot chocolate, biscuits & some homemade cheese straws ☕️🥰
