💫 Quantum Care Awards 2026 – Community Champion Award 💫

We would like to congratulate the finalists for this year’s Community Champion Award 26. This award is for an individual or group that has made an exceptional effort to raise the awareness that their local community has of their home.

🌍POSTCARDS FROM AROUND THE WORLD 🌍

We’re excited to be taking part in Quantum Care’s ‘Postcards From Around the World’ campaign this September! Inspired by today’s World Letter Writing Day, we’re inviting people from all around the world to pick up a pen and send a handwritten postcard to our care home.

Our challenge? To receive postcards from as many different countries as possible! As the postcards arrive, our residents will add a sticker to the world map displayed in our home, ticking off each country we receive a postcard from 💌

And there’s a little friendly competition too! We’ll be competing against other Quantum Care homes, with the winning home being the one that receives postcards from the highest number of different countries.

If you, your family or friends live anywhere around the world, or you’re going on holiday in the near future, we’d love you to send a handwritten postcard to our residents. Please share this post and help us spread the word! Let’s see how many countries we can reach together.

🎉🎂 Birthday celebrations & boogie moves at Mayfair Lodge! 🎶💃💃

Today we celebrated Auntie Agnes’s birthday! 🥳🎈 Agnes was delighted to have lots of visitors popping in to see her, and of course we couldn’t let the occasion pass without a good old sing-song! 🎶 We all sang Happy Birthday and made sure Agnes felt extra special. 💕🎂

This morning we were also very pleased to welcome Julie, who got us all moving and grooving in the Day Centre! 🕺💃 We enjoyed some fun exercises with lots of lovely music, and there were plenty of smiles, laughter and even a few questionable dance moves! 😂🎵

It’s safe to say we had a fabulous day at Mayfair Lodge. From birthday singing to exercising to the music, we certainly know how to keep ourselves entertained! ❤️

Today was National Cupcake Day! 🧁🍰

Of course, we couldn’t let the occasion pass without enjoying a little cake and even our ambulance man joined in the fun! 🚑🧁

Some of our residents got creative and decorated their very own cakes, which they thoroughly enjoyed. There’s nothing quite like a sweet treat 💕✨

We had the fantastic Jess come and perform for us on Tuesday
from Jolly Old Time Entertainment and she didn’t disappoint! Lots of singing with songs from around the world, everyone joined in and there were smiles all around❤️🕺🏻💃🏽👗🌷🎼🎤

🍉☀️ National Watermelon Day at Mayfair Lodge! ☀️🍉

Yesterday we celebrated National Watermelon Day in the best way possible, with the glorious hot weather giving us the perfect excuse! 😎🍉

We went around Mayfair Lodge Care Home sharing out some juicy, refreshing watermelon, and it was safe to say it was a HUGE hit! ❤️🍉

There were plenty of happy faces, sticky fingers and lots of “mmm, that’s lovely!” 😋😂

Nothing beats a refreshing slice of watermelon on a sunny day! 🌞🍉💦

💙 A Very Special Thank You from Mayfair Lodge 💙

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Our Lady of St Vincent Catholic Church for remembering our residents during their recent pilgrimage to Lourdes. 🙏✨

Our residents were deeply moved to receive postcards from Lourdes, each one personally addressed and carrying prayers from Father Shaun and members of the church. Such a thoughtful and beautiful gesture.

It was a truly magical and meaningful moment, knowing they were being remembered and prayed for in Lourdes. ❤️

The postcards now hold a special place on residents’ bedside tables, where they can see them each day and be reminded of your kindness and prayers. 🕊️

Thank you to Father Shaun and everyone at Our Lady of St Vincent for bringing so much comfort, joy, and warmth to our Mayfair Lodge family. 🌹🙏

🍷🧀 National Wine and Cheese Day is the perfect opportunity to bring people together to enjoy one of the world’s favourite food pairings. Sharing wine, cheese, grapes, and crackers encourages conversation, social connection, and creates a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere.

Our residents had a wonderful time celebrating with a delicious selection of cheese, grapes, and crackers to accompany the wine. It was enjoyed by everyone and made for a lovely afternoon together.

Later, we celebrated Beryl’s birthday in Byron with cake, smiles, and lots of warm wishes—a perfect way to end our Saturday! 🎉🎂💐
