Moving Mountains Trust is a registered charity in the UK which funds education, health, social welfare and personal development programmes in the UK, Kenya and Nepal. It was founded in 2001 by Gavin Bate who began working in the aid sector while living in Kenya during the 1990s. At that time he helped at a slum school and worked occasionally as an aid driver in sub Saharan Africa and helped to bui

ld clinics and schools in the slums. Later on Moving Mountains began in Nepal as well, since Gavin had been climbing there for many years and made many Sherpa friends. Moving Mountains UK funds the NGOs which we started in Kenya and Nepal and works together on long term aims which have made huge differences to communities in many places. The watchword for the charity has always been empowerment and equality. The aim is never to foster dependancy on 'aid' but to work together so local communities and individuals become architects of their own success. The money to fund the projects and programmes has come from Gavin's Everest expeditions, and also many volunteers and groups who have come out to work with our local staff and helpers. We also have a committed core group of supporters who help with fundraising. All of our work is guided by principles of transparency, equality, integrity, respect, local ownership and fairness.

We are so proud of the BLACK CATS Football Club! Today, our youth teams are out in Embu competing across different levelsโ€”from the sub-county and county leagues all the way to division one and the conference league.

But for these kids, football is about so much more than winning trophies. Beyond the goals, football is helping us mobilize, rehabilitate, and guide young people toward brighter futures through education and vocational training.

We are thrilled to announce the expansion of the Dallas Primary School Feeding Program! What started as a mission to nourish our youngest ECDE learners has now grown. We are now officially providing nutritious meals to learners from Grade 6 all the way down from 80 to 150!

As an organization, our goal is always to provide sustainable pathways to independent living. This car wash isn't just a business; itโ€™s a classroom. Itโ€™s a space where these boys are learning entrepreneurship, teamwork, and accountability.
