The Alex Wardle Foundation

The Alex Wardle Foundation 'Raising awareness of SADS.'

A charity in memory of Alex Wardle, who passed away aged 23 due to SADS (Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome).

Permanently closed.

The Alex Wardle Foundation Fund was set up in memory of Alex Wardle, who passed away in March 2016 from Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome (SADS). Every week in the UK, at least 12 young people die of undiagnosed heart conditions (www.c-r-y.org.uk). SADS is caused by a disturbance in the heart’s rhythm, of which there are many causes, despite the person not having any physical heart disease. Alex wa

s a medical student, working in research, and we want to continue his legacy by helping to further understand SADS and prevent deaths from the condition. The charity was set up by Alex’s family and close friends with this goal in mind;

Research - Helping learn more about Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome

Support - For families and friends affected by SADS

Defibrillators - Installing the life-saving devices in local communities

Update: thank you to everyone who has donated! It will make a real difference and I’m so grateful. I know Dad didn’t know the meaning of the word ‘small’ but there will be a small gathering at Fareham Masonic Hall after the funeral. You are welcome to join together here to celebrate Steve’s life and if anyone would like to share a few words you are welcome.

My poor daddy, I do miss you ❤️

It is with one of the most broken of hearts that I write to you to ask for support. Dad brought such joy into the world and he would do everything with true passion and love for his family. His passing has left an irreplaceable void.

I’m reaching out during one of the most difficult times in my life, as I try to arrange my dad’s funeral, support mum’s care and endeavour to keep an optimistic outlook on life. I’ve set up this fundraiser to help cover the cost’s of Steve’s funeral as well as the additional fallout from his untimely passing. Please read more on website I thank you for your support in anyway you can. ❤️❤️❤️
