Please note that this week was sadly the last week of our Landport Larder scheme. Due to unforeseen circumstances the Larder is no longer feasible. We would like to thank all of our loyal customers and especially our wonderful group of volunteers. We would also like to thank Fareshare for their delivery service and our local supermarkets (Sainsburys, Lidl, Morrisons) for their weekly donations and John Pounds for the use of their wonderful electric van. Enable Ability are incredibly proud of this essential service we have provided local residents for many years now, including running a scheme through Covid.

Thursday 18 December will sadly be the last day our Landport Community Centre cafe will be open for business. We are proud to have served the local community, residents and workforce over the last few years and are immensely proud and grateful to our wonderful and talented team of staff, participants, volunteers and work experience personnel. And a huge thank you to all of our loyal customers.

The centre itself will remain in operation and reopen after the festive break on Monday 5 January, including our weekly Landport Larder scheme. But sadly without the cafe.

In the meantime from all of us at LCC and Enable Ability have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year.

The Landport Larder scheme was delighted to receive a visit today from the Right Worshipful Lord Mayor of Portsmouth Gerald Vernon-Jackson CBE. Volunteers were presented with £400 of vouchers to spend replenishing stock for the larder as part of a initiative that have seen 20 foodbanks and pantries across the city receive similar donations from the Mayor's Office.

🎅🏻Ho Ho Ho! The post you’ve all been waiting to hear about…. SANTAS GROTTO!!

This very popular feature of our Christmas Fair is back again this year, and has been very kindly supported by Wessex Community Bank.

The grotto will be open from 2:15-4:15pm at our Christmas Fair on Sunday 7th December, and tickets will be issued on a first come, first served basis.

Still as reasonably priced as previous years, at just £5 per person. They’ll receive 5 minutes with the big man himself, and a lovely gift too!

Once you have paid in the queue, we will allocate you a ticket. Please come early to guarantee a space. As there are a limited amount of gifts- we don’t want anyone to be disappointed.
