Portsmouth & Southsea Round Table Round Table is a social organisation for men aged between 18 and 45. Round Table offers men the oppo The first overseas group was formed in Copenhagen in 1936.

The founder, Louis Marchesi, was the youngest member of Norwich Rotary Club who felt there was a need for a club for the younger men of the town. His vision was for them to exchange ideas, learn from the experiences of their colleagues, and together contribute to the community life of the city. In the following 12 months, interest was so high that the club attracted 85 members, and people around t

he country were starting to show an interest in establishing other clubs. From the beginning, Round Table was a non-religious, non-political, and non-sectarian club, an ethos that still underpins the club today. Round Table is now global, with members in most European countries, as well as Africa, the Middle East, India, Hong Kong, New Zealand, and the USA.

The other week we enjoyed a casual evening of pool at the Honest Politician. Some good shots, lucky shots and some not so good ones! 🎱

We then headed to Fuegos Street for a cracking meal.

Next up we’ve got a meeting this Thursday to build our social calendar for the upcoming year. Before some of us head off to Sheffield for the National Conference.

What a weekend! 😮

Last weekend we travelled to Luxembourg 🇱🇺 for our annual Euro numbers meeting where we met up with fellow No.2 Tables from across Europe. This coincided with Round Table International - Central & Eastern Europe Region - CEE and a big shout out to Table Ronde Luxembourg - Round Table Luxembourg for being brilliant hosts! 🍻

We dressed up for the weekends main event which was their annual Duck Race Luxembourg! 🦆 25,000 ducks are let loose to decide the winner.

Round Table is so much more than our local town or city. International Tabling is always an unbelievable experience. Meeting old friends and making new ones every time! 🌍

Next up we’re heading to Southsea tomorrow night for a casual evening of Pool 🎱 followed by a meal.

Last week we brought out our inner child and had a night at the circus 🤡

Circus Extreme were in town and it would have been rude not to check out the big top! 🎪

An absolutely amazing night of acrobatics, motocross 🏍️ and Ariel acts. All with a live band to boot! 🥁 🎵

On Thursday night we held our AGM, a chance to celebrate the last 12 months and look ahead to the upcoming year.

Giles handed over the presidential chain after a successful year! ✅ We welcome Ash in as our new President for 2026-27 along with his Vice President Luke.

It was a night of camaraderie and laughter 😆 where we also presented a host of historic awards. 🏆

We’ve got lots of exciting events planned as we enter our 99th year 😮 We meet on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month, our social calendar for the year will be released in the coming weeks! 🔜

Last week we rolled our way to Dice Portsmouth for a relaxed evening of board games. 🎲 lots of fun and plenty of time to chat as well.

We then took a stroll down the Albert road for a brilliant pizza at ThePanormuspizzeria 🍕
