The Wilder Eastney site (Marine Court Garden) is an excellent example of urban green space that provides a home and safe refuge to a variety of wildlife including birds, small mammals and minibeasts.

Join us here for the morning, where we'll be helping nature to thrive. During the session we'll be tending to the young fruit trees, improving grassland habitat, cutting back invasive plants and sorting out the raised beds with new soil, herbs and native wildflowers.

Today, Ainsley and Mathilde braved the strong winds and planted herbs and flowers at Havelock Community Centre , to replace the ones which were sadly stolen a few weeks ago.
We hope these ones settle well and will benefit wildlife and local communities for years to come !

🌱 Support Havelock Community Centre!

Our wonderful supporter, Havelock Community Centre, recently had plants stolen from the planters at their entrance. Sadly, the nearby Eric Taplin Court planters have also been targeted. This upsetting situation is happening far too often in our neighbourhood.

Behind the plants that people enjoy walking past and admiring, lies hard work, time, grant applications, maintenance, watering, and a deep dedication to wildlife and community. These green spaces are built with love and care.

We’ll be helping Havelock replant and secure more flowers and herbs soonβ€”we won’t give up.

In the meantime, please consider supporting Havelock through a membership or donation. It’s a truly special community centre in the heart of our city, supporting countless groups and activities.

Thank you, Havelock Community Centre, for all you do for our community. ❀️

We had a fantastic TLC session on Fawcett Road with our wonderful neighbours and GoodGym Portsmouth – thank you so much to everyone who helped! 🌱✨

Our local planters, trees, and forecourts are now happy: litter-free, topped up with soil and mulch, and filled with new plants and herbs. We also spotted plenty of woodlice, moths, hoverflies and flies buzzing around the greenery, which is a good sign for biodiversity! πŸ›πŸ¦‹πŸž

We hope you enjoy these refreshed green spaces as much as we do! πŸ’š Please don't hesitiate to water them when passing by, every little helps. Thank you!
