Who are we?

At the Silkworth Project, we believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to start again. We provide support, accommodation and a caring environment in which people facing homelessness and addiction can find stability, rebuild confidence and take steps towards a brighter future.

Whether someone is actively struggling, beginning their recovery, or maintaining a life free from addiction, we meet people where they are and support them as they move forward.

We care because recovery is about more than overcoming challenges- it’s about restoring hope, rebuilding relationships and helping people rediscover their own strength.

Every person we support has a story worth hearing, a life worth valuing and a future worth fighting for.

Caroline Brennan meets Dan Hadley who is walking the entire English coastline to raise money for the Silkworth Project (addiction recovery charity), and Kirsty from the charity.

Yesterday we gave out three dozen lemon doughnuts along with the usual fresh vegetables and other essential groceries courtesy of FareShare (a service we are proud to partner with to redistribute surplus food).

We're so grateful to have little treats to pass on to our clients; it's the little moments of joy that make all the difference!

We went out and about to Fort Nelson - Royal Armouries on friday. The weather was on our side and our tour guide (aka senior service lead) Andy talked us through the history and heritage of the site.

Connection is the opposite of addiction and here at Silkworth we believe in connection: to each other, and the community we live and work in; as a therapeutic tool and as a way of life. Stay tuned for more wellbeing days like this in the future, we have big plans!
