Every Chinese New Year, our dance troupe visits many nursing homes in the UK to extend our greetings to the elderly. This has become an important act of kindness for our troupe. The elderly residents decorate their homes in advance with a strong Chinese theme. Seeing their happy smiles, expectant eyes, and the enjoyment they have of our performances makes us feel that doing this is truly worthwhile. This is the meaning of passing on traditions. By weaving tradition into dance and sharing cultural heritage with people, this New Year has become especially meaningful and heartwarming because of this love and togetherness.
